A town made up by towns

La Vall d’Uixó is located to the south of the province of Castellón, in the region of La Plana Baixa. Its top-rated commercial and services sector can be found halfway between Valencia and Castellón airports.

Nevertheless, its main tourist attraction is Sant Josep Caves (Coves de Sant Josep), one of Europe’s longest underground navigable rivers. Located in Costa Azahar, in the core of the Mediterranean Sea and next to the Natural Park of Sierra de Espadán, visitors will be surprised by their reunion with nature.

The natural spot where Coves de Sant Josep are found does not only have environmental values. It is also an archaeological site declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Its historical heritage is directly related to the use of water, which connects the caves with the urban area, creating the Water Way teveryone to know the details of the town. Moreover, springs are often considered to be magic places and Font de Sant Josep was the place for traditions and legends which define the emotional DNA of the inhabitants of this place. The

round river of Coves de Sant Josep and La Vall d’Uixó offer visitors material and immaterial heritage within the same environment.

Comunitat Valenciana is one of the main tourist destinations in Spain. Its wide tourist range includes both consolidated sun and sand destinations as well as interesting inland areas. Castellón province is the perfect example. Here, visitors will find cities such as Oropesa del Mar, Peñíscola, Benicasim or Moncofa, which are connected to other destinations such as Morella, Montanejos, Vilafamés or Segorbe.
