    NASFAM started in 1994 as the SmallholderAgribusiness Development Project (SADP), a USAIDfunded project to organise smallholder farmerproduction

    Since 1995 the focus has diversified from tobacco toproduction of other cash and food crops includinggroundnuts, rice, chilli, cotton, soya and otherlegumes

    NASFAM is now the largest smallholder farmersorganisation with 108,000 members working in 45Associations
