With the rising temperature and Ramadan just around the corner, Al Ain Mall (AAM) has planned a myriad of activities to entertain its loyal customers and their families. This will vary from Mega Sales in most of our outlets, exciting competitions to breathtaking artistic and educational events, all designed to entertain all and sundry - from the “young” to the “young at heart” and all nationalities. In this edition of AAM Magazine we have put together a calendarof what to expect for the upcoming summer season. Al Ain Mall recently added a library service designed for readers from all ages and disciplines. The National Library by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority features more than 20,000 sources on different media covering general knowledge, social sciences, languages, pure and applied sciences, arts, literature and history. It also provides research material for the University students. The library also has a children and youth section and a section for Arabic and foreign magazines and newspapers. National Library at Al Ain Mall offers special activities for children such as story reading by library employees which also encourages children to read on their own. Children are offered special membership without any security deposit. Located on the second floor, next to Grand Stores & Café Du Roi, National Library opens seven days a week.

Al Ain Mall Ice rink plays host to local and international competitions and is supported by many an ice sport enthusiasts. Besides being Al Ain’s only Ice Rink in a shopping Mall made of original ice, Al Ain Mall ice rink offers Ice Skating training by ISIA accredited coaches. Integrating learning and entertaining, Ice Skating classes are offered to all ages (starting from the Age of 3) and levels from the ABC of skating to free style.

Coaching and mentoring eager skaters, cultivating their skills and talents, diligent students are prepared for local and International competitions within a short span of time. This is quite evident from the fact that two of Al Ain Mall Ice Rinks students garnered second place in the Ice Skating International Competition 2012 held on the 28 and 29 April at Leisure Land Dubai. Al Ain Mall skating team registered another record winning when 17 out of the 21 skaters won Gold in the UAE open figure skating championship held in Dubai Al Nasr Leisure Land (May 11 & 12, 2012). Other 4 took home 2 silver and 2 Bronzes in the same competition.

We congratulate the team for such a historic win, which is the result of all the hard work put together by the students and coaching team alike. We all look forward to more medals and winning experiences in the seasons to come.
