Mine doesn't have a manual trigger button in the software. Only NO/NC/OFF. I thought maybe just switching to the oppposite- either NO or NC could trigger it manually, if something was hooked up. Seems like I may have to spend even more bucks for a web switch if I really want to do this. I was hopeful my dvr could somehow accomodate manually triggering a siren on and off, but if it ain't so, oh well. Wire PIR motion detector to wired alarm

system Created: 06 June 2011

This article can help some of clients who don't know how to use the hardwired zones.

Now we are make a example of G70-GTW system connect to hardwired PIR Motion Detectors (VS-

YH300).

1. Wiring the cable of power supply from control panel to PIR motion detector (Red is +12V, Black is

GND).

2. Connect the EOL Resistor to PIR Motion Detector (We are using 2.2KOmh Resisors)

3. Wring the cable for wired zones (Z+ and Z-), please note that due to Z- is connecting to GND, so that

they share the same black wire.

(VS-YH300) (VS-YH400) (DG85)

4. Connect to external power (AC/DC adapter),turn on the power.

(Please note that if you want to use hardwired zones, you must to connect external power to G70-GTW)

5. Activate the wired zones for G70-GTW. When in programming status, select menu of Zone attribute,

then input the zone number which you need to activate, in Bypass zone menu, select No).

(Hardwired zones numbers are from 31 to 37)

6. Testing the connection. Before testing the connection, you need to put back the cover and close the PIR

Motion detector (so that it can test the tamper alarm).

(If you don't close the cover of PIR Motion detector, it will not trigger the alarm)

7. The real connection photo as below:

 Above article shows the NC connection (the default setting of PIR relayoutput are NC)

8. How to wire more than one (example: 2 or 3) wired sensors into one (single) zone ? 

Actually wiring more than one wired sensors into a single zone is pretty easy, you just need to

connect them in series, then only put the EOL resistor to the last of wired sensor. After finish the

wiring, you need to power up the sensor, then using the multi-meter to measure the resistor value

in this zone. If the resistor value is 2.2K, then it means the wiring is correct.

Installation: 

1. Install at the outdoor, place with petss, air-condition nearby, direct sunshine, heat source and under the

rotating objects should be avoided.

2. Surface of installation should be firm with no vibration.

3. Installing the detector in the place where intruder pass easily.

Installation Step: 

1. Turn the detector counter clockwise, remove the front cover

2. Screw the PCB off and remove the PCD.

3. Drill a hole in the rear housing.

4. Install the rear housing on the suitable position.

5. Connect the terminal block. (as below).

6. Put back the front cover.

Operation Instruction: 

1. Relay Jumper: Choose NC or NO to set the state of alarm output. You should choose different alarm

output in accordance with host.

Short 1&2: N.O.

Short 2&3: N.C. (default set).

2. Pulse Jumper: You can adjust the sensitivity and anti RF interference by choosing the Pulse Jumper.

Short 1&2: Class 1 pulse, the sensitivity is highest, adapt to general environment.

Short 2&3: Class 2 pulse, anti-RF interference is high, adapt to the environment with strong RF

interference.

Shut off: Class 3 pulse, the sensitivity is lower, and the anti-RF interference is highest, adapt to the

environment with exceeding RF interference.

3. LED Jumper: Control LED indicator, without effect of detector normal work.

Short 1&2: set LED ON

Short 2&3: set LED OFF

LED can be shut off for concealment of the detector after test.

Product Testing: 

Turning on power and LED indicator on, the detector comes to state of self-check, it takes about 60s, after

that it is in the state of normal work. Connershould walk parallel with the installed detector in the testing

area. LED lighting means the detector is in the state of alarm

Connect wired ir beam to gsm alarm

This article is related to wire (connect) wired sensors (including IR beam, PIR motion

sensor, Door Magnetic Contact) to wired alarm system. Nowadays many customers are

 buying alarm system to protect their residential and commercial business. Install

wireless alarm kit is pretty easy, but wiring the wired alarm system may turn to

nightmare for un-professional people. In order to help our customers on installation our

security alarm systems, we herein provide these information.

Wiring the wired IR beam sensor to wired GSM alarm system:

The IR beam sensor  is the one of professional security equipment to provide perimeter

 protection, it creates invisible fence around your premises. The sensor consists of

transmitter and receiver. we herein provide the wiring diagram as below:

Explanation: The above connection is Normal Close connection method. IR beam

sensors get the power from alarm panel (AUX, GND), and IR beam dry contact output

connect to tamper and zone 1 in series. Between zone wiring, there is a resistor (value

2.2K), we call it EOL resistor , it provides the protection for the wiring, also it's a must

to wire this in the sensor end (default is on alarm panel). If you want to use zone, you

need to take off the resistor for that zone. The connection real photo as below (Click

How to connect two IR beams into a single zone ? The diagram as below:

Wiring PIR Motion Sensor (DG85) to Wired Alarm System 

If you can understand above information,then wiring PIR is more simple. DG85 is

 professional dual PIR (quad element PIR sensor to reduce false alarm, pet friendly)

motion sensor for accurate movement detection.

Explanation: PIR sensor get the power supply from alarm panel (AUX and GND), the

dry contact output (from PIR) connect with tamper (TMP) and zone 1 in series, also

connecting with EOL resistor is essential. The real connection photo as below:

6.1 Alarm input port specification1 channels alarm input. Alarm input type unlimited.The grounding and the com port of the alarm sensor are parallel(The alarm sensor is external power supply) .The grounding of the alarm and the DVR should be shared.The NC port of the alarm sensor must be connected with theDVR alarm input port.The grounding of the power supply and the alarm sensor mustbe shared when used in external power supply.2.6.2 Alarm output port specification1 channels alarm output. There is external power supply when

using the external alarm equipment.Please refer to the relay relevant parameters to avoid theoverload that damages main machine.

2.6.3 Alarm output port relay parameters

For example, the Samsung I installed, it has 4 outputs. Theyput out 30VDC, with a maximum of 1.5A total.

Get a nice big siren.

So I would get a 30V normally open relay, hook it up tooutput 1. Then connect one side of the relay to a 12VDCsource, and the other side to the positive connection of thesiren. Negative connection of the siren goes to GND on the12VDC source.

IMPORTANT: Depending on your DVR, you may want to placea reverse-biased diode between the relay connections thatthe DVR will turn on. If your DVR uses transistors to switchthese outputs, they may not like the high voltage spikes thecoil in a relay puts out when it is switched off.

I say that because I have fried some transistorsbefore. That is a common practice when you are drivingan inductive load from transistors.

Now, I can open up my viewing software, connect fromanywhere, and click on alarm output 1, and turn it ON.Freak out the loiterers, then shut it off.

How to install smoke/gas detectors Created: 13 April 2011

A) Wired or wireless smoke detector  

This smoke detector detects smoke by a couple of infrared diodes, which is suitable for detecting thesmoke in house, shop, hotel, restaurant, office building, school, bank, library and storehouse etc.

B) Wired or wireless gas detector  

1. Please confirm the induced gas is heavier than air, or lighter than air. The gas is heavier than air:

LPG etc. The gas is lighter than air: Natural gas, marsh gas and etc.

2. Choosing the suitable position to install the detector according to the gas specific gravity. Detecting the

gas heavier than air: Installation height from floor: 0.3-100m, Semi-diameter to gas source: <1.5m;

Detecting the gas lighter than air: Installation height from ceiling: 0.3-1.0m, Semi-diameter to gas source:

<1.5m

3. Fix the screw into the wall firmly, then hang the detector.

4. Avoid installing the detector close to the following sources of interference: Direct air flow from vents,

fans, doors, windows, sources of steam, oil vapor...etc.

5. All wires installation must accord with the National and Local effective laws and criteria. The wires must

have the suitable size and colorful marks for avoiding connecting error. And unsuitable connection of wires

will result in the alarm error while leaking happened.

6. Test: to test the installed detector while using independently or in network, you can give some gas

around in distance of 5cm to the gas convection holes by using un-ignition lighter. Testing frequently may

result in reducing the sensitivity of the detector. The alarm density of gas is set according with the criteria

of national standard. The detector will stop alarm and resume to the detecting state while the gas density

reduced to lower than the alarm level. The alarm output switches can connect with the hardwired alarm

system.

7. Maintenance: The user must brush and clean the gas convection holes with a little cleanser every three

months, and must retest the detector after cleaning for preventing the cleanser into the detector.

8. Handle the alarm: The gas detector alarms while the gas density in air exceed the alarm level. The

relative handle as below:

a. Shut down the tube valve right away.

b. Open the window and make the air flow rapidly.

c. Extinguish all fire sources and do not use anything can make fire: eg. lighters, matches,,, etc.

d. Avoiding open or close the power all kinds of electric equipment.

e. Check the reason of gas leaking, and notify the relative departments and professional person in time.

How to install fire smoke detector, where

to install ? Created: 12 June 2011

The old idiom says “There’s no smoke without fire”. The basic fire alarm system is just a simple smoke

detector which can detect the smoke and set off alarm. Install smoke detector is the effective and low-cost

way to escape from fire disaster.

How install smoke detector is so important? 

Reports from Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) United States, Each year estimated  1,800 fatalresidential fires, and cause 2,636 deaths, 725 injuries, and $196 million in property loss in USA.

The reports also indicates that majority of fatal fires happen when people are asleep, due to unaware of

the fire and without enough time to escape.

We think that many of countries with high rate of fatal fires than USA, due to lock of management and

without adequate investment (fire equipment) from government.

How smoke detector works? 

Smoke detectors are mounted on the top of floor for 24 hours working, and when it detect the smoke

(intense), it will make sounds and flashing to alert people, also it is connecting with an alarm system, then

it will go through alarm system and report to Central Monitoring Station.

Where should install the smoke detector?

Smoke detector should be installed on each of rooms (bedrooms, storage room, reading room…etc) and

the corridor, as well as the lobby. When install smoke detector, you need to place them on the center of

top ceiling, if you want to install on the wall, then they should be installed below the ceiling 6-12 inches.

What types of smoke detector I can choose? 

There are major three kinds of smoke detector for usage.

  Standalone smoke detector: working as a single unit, detection of smoke, then buzz and flash

alarm.

  Hardwired smoke detector: working as a single unit and using cable to connect with hardwired

alarm system (can be burglar alarm system or fire alarm panel).

  Wireless smoke detector: also can work as a single unit, but it is using wireless technology to

connect with wireless alarm system (only burglar alarm system, as we know, we can’t find

wireless fire alarm panel so far).

Tips when install smoke detector  

1. Don’t install smoke detector near the path of bathroom and kitchen equipment. These place areeasily cause false alarm.

2. Don’t install smoke detector near the doors, windows, air conditioner.  

3. Monthly test and check smoke detector for insuring they can work correctly.

4. Replace the battery each a year. Most of smoke detector with low-voltage alarm function, when

smoke detector start to flash, then you need to replace the battery.

5. Many people are thinking get a set of burglar alarm system for theirs residential. Before purchase

burglar alarm system, please add extra smoke detectors for your fire alarm.

Fire Prevention Tips: 

1. When people are doing cooking, always be there.

2. Don’t put the catch-fire material near the heat sources

3. Don’t smoking inside of house, after smoking, dumping cigarette butts in the trash, make sure

smoke is extinct?

4. Carefully handle and operation the electronic device, especially for heat generated device. Any

problem on electricity, turn to professional’s help. 

What to Do in Case of Fire: 

1. Do not be panic; stay calm.

2. Leave the building as quickly as possible. Touch doors to feel if they were hot before opening

them. Use an alternate exit if necessary. Crawl along the floor, and do stop to collect anything.

3. Meet at a pre-arranged meeting place outside the building.

4. Call the fire department form outside the building.

5. Do not go back inside a burning building. Wait for the fire department to arrive.

Note: These guidelines will assist you in the event of a fire, however, to reduce the chance that fires will

start, practice fire safety rules and prevent hazardous situations
