Abstract• Alphabet Inc. is a massive

company which is basically a collection of research centres and search system (Google) with all services it provides. It has a huge influence right now, but in can rapidly increase with the results of researches of most of the parts of this giant.

Introduction • This company started in 1995 by the meeting of 2 computer science

students at Stanford University: Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who became good friends.• By 1996 they had created an engine named BlackRub, which was

capable of analysing so-called ‘black inks’ on the websites. • In 1998 search engine based on BlackRub called ’Google’ created.

• Alphabet was founded by the same people who created Google. To prevent google from becoming ‘a conventional company’ (Page, 2015) • The point of it was described by Larry Page in his letter: ‘As

Sergey and I wrote in the original founder’s letter 11 years ago, “Google is not a conventional company. We do not intend to become one.”’ (Page, 2015)

and has a market value of $500.1b. (Forbes, 2016)• Two heads of the Alphabet Inc. are

holding 13th and 14th places in the Forbes people list. (Forbes,2016)• The company has more than 61000

Some of the Companies Owned by Alphabet Inc.

• The largest company of Alphabet is Google Inc. It is a search engine, launched in 1998. Launches projects like Android (mobile operating system), YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail and of course Google search itself. (Google, n.d.) It has more than 1.17 billion active users and appears to be one of the most popular web recourses

• Google Fiber. This part is providing fast internet around the USA. The speed of it is up to 1000mbit/sec, which is much higher than most people have. (Fiber, n.d.)

• Waymo. The main course of this company is a creation of the self-driving car. As Waymo describes the idea of their project ‘Imagine if everyone could get around easily and safely, without tired, drunk or distracted driving.’ (Waymo, n.d.) This part of the Alphabet, probably, was the most popular to discuss for the ‘geeks’.

• Calico. This is a research company working in the biology area. The main course is the creation of the technologies understanding the principals of control of the lifespan, which meant to increase healthiness and life length of the human kind. (Calico LLC, n.d.)

Concludion • Alphabet Inc. is one of the largest companies existing nowadays. It is

just a connection between awful lot of research centres which are all working on development of all areas of our life beginning from systemising information and increasing speed of the internet, ending with biological researches and the developing of the Artificial intelligence. These researches can increase the importance of Alphabet, even though it is already extremely high.
