“Ecolink” aluminum honeycomb board is designed having an aim contributing to environmental protection especially on Global Warming. The main component is aluminum alloy honeycomb panel which can be totally recyclable. The panel is of sandwich configuration. The aluminum honeycomb core is inserted into two pieces of aluminum sheets and bonded together to form the panel. It is similar to the plywood. Researchers have surprisingly found that the regular hexagon as a honeycomb is the most reasonable and scientific structure requiring the fewest and lightest material among all structures under the same strength. The strong structured is supported by multi “I” beams formed by the honeycomb.

ALUMINUM HONEYCOMB CORE

The Core is made of 3003 aluminum alloy containing 98% Al, 1 % Mg with small amount of Fe and Si. The aluminum foil of 0.04mm to 0.08mm must receive heat treatment H24 in accordance with BS 1470 to achieve its required hardness.

The core is prepared with aluminum foil in form of wafer block under computer control. It is stretched into a sheet of hexagon cells with consistent dimension. During manufacturing the wall of the cells have allowed micro perforation for movement of air between adjacent cells. It is aimed to equalizing pressure in environments with rapid change of temperature.

The minimum width of the hexagon is 4mm and the common width is from 6mm to l0mm. The height, wall thickness and size of the hexagon cell are determining factors for the strength and performance of the honeycomb panel.

六角型鋁蜂窩芯所用的 3003 型鋁合金材料含 98% 鋁，1% 鎂，少量鐵和硅。鋁箔的厚度一般 0.04mm至 0.08mm，而鋁箔必須根據英國 BS1470 標準來通過 H24 高溫處理以達到它必需的硬度。

蜂窩芯通過電腦操縱精確地把鋁箔以晶片形式製成，伸展成眾多正六邊形蜂窩。生產時，蜂窩室上有細微的穿孔以讓蜂窩室之間空氣流動，目的是為了調整外界環境中溫度變化所產生迅速的壓力。

六邊形的寬度最小為 4mm，正規的寬度一般在 6mm 至 10mm 之間。 而六邊形的高度， 窩壁厚度和尺寸是蜂窩板的強度和性能決定性的因素。

The face and base sheet of honeycomb panel use the same alloy as honeycomb core. The high strength aluminum alloy 3003 H24 of thickness between 0.8mm to 2.0mm will be used to make honeycomb panel.

The expanded core sheet is bonded together between the face and base sheet with adhesive of bi-component polymeric epoxide membrane and bi-component modified epoxy resins. The final bonding process must be hydraulic pressed and heated under automatic control. The adhesive curing process must be strictly followed in accordance with adhesive supplier's recommendation to ensure the reliability of the bond.

The panel should be made as light as possible. It is a rule of thumb that thicker the face and base sheets, heavier the panel, and larger the cell size, lighter the panel. The honeycomb panel should be designed such that its weight is only 20% of aluminum plate and 10% of steel plate under the same strength.

我們採用雙組分的高分子環氧膠膜和雙組分改性環氧樹脂，用全自動生產設備，通過加壓高溫複合而成。黏合劑固化處理嚴格按照供應商的建議使用以確保黏合強度。

蜂窩板固然越輕越好，一般是通過增加面板和底板厚度，及加寬蜂窩室的尺寸來控制板材重量。我們生產的蜂窩板，與相同硬度的鋁板和鋼板比較，重量只是鋁板的 20%，鋼板的 10%。

It is a green building material with the same effect of natural stone panel as applied in conventional decorative environment. The fragility characteristic of stone has forced it thicker to meet the impact resistant requirement. It is an alternative and also an environmental friendly consideration. A thin stone plate of 4mm-6mm is bonded together with aluminum honeycomb panel, consequently improves the poor impact resistance remarkably, and overcomes the heavy weight and fragility characteristic of stone.

The bonding adhesive is the same as that used in making honeycomb panel. Owing to larger bonding area, the shearing strength is better than the honeycomb panel.

The weight of these panels is only 40% compared with stone floor panel and 25% compared with wall panel.

The thin stone aluminum honeycomb panel will reduce the structure requirement, improve the impact resistance and also carried with good thermal and sound insulation.

超薄石材蜂窩板是一種綠色環保建材，效果可媲美傳統裝飾天然石材。天然石材具有易脆的特性，為加

強其抗衝擊能力，一般會增加厚度以滿足要求。而超薄石材蜂窩板則被認為是代替傳統石材的最好材料。

把 4mm - 6mm 薄的石材板與鋁蜂窩板複合，從而增強抗衝擊性。它完全克服了天然石材重量大、易碎等

缺陷。

黏接用的黏合劑和用在生產蜂窩板的一樣。由於黏合的面積比較大，剪應力比蜂窩板更好。超薄石材蜂

窩板的重量只有石地板的 40% 和牆身板的 25%。

This type of honeycomb panel was originally adopted by marine industry for constructing

accommodations as a measure for saving energy cost. Its ingress into building industry owing to its high degree of

flatness and moisture resistance. The good coherency of aluminum has allowed nearly all types of decorative

material to be bonded together. It is increasingly popular to apply these panels for kitchen cabinet and toilet cubical.

Other advantages are the inclusion of needed ancillary such as conduits, IT and electric power, socket outlets

etc., during manufacturing. Straight, light weight and flatness have made it an ideal choice for application where

visual effect is very demanding.

The honeycomb panels prepared for curtain wall use pre-coil coated with

fluorocarbon polymer aluminum sheet of thickness between 0.8mm to l.0mm. The fluorocarbon

contains at least 70% Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 resin. They are very stable compound and

capable to resist UV radiation, acid rain and various chemicals. The special molecular structure

prevents the dirt being stuck onto the surface. Compare with single plate curtain wall, the

honeycomb panel has good performance in thermal insulation and sound insulation.
