Abstract This paper presents a novel LNA for 5.2 GHz
applications.
• The fully integrated 5.2GHz LNA exhibits 15dB maximum gain, 2dB minimum noise.
• The LNA produces a 1-dB compression output power of -16 dB m . It consumes 5mA current from a supply voltage of 1.8V.
Low noise amplifier is used extensively in modern communication systems.
The LNA uses source inductor degeneration to trade off between the noise and gain.

Conclusion• A novel LNA operating in 5.25GHz using
standard 0.18um 1P6M CMOS technology was demonstrated.
