For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth.
Colossians
1:6
Appropriately, the free unmerited love and favor of God, the spring and source of all the benefits men receive from him.
GRACE also means receiving God's blessings we don't deserve.
1. The Grace of God in our Salvation.
2. The Grace of God in our Total Development and Transformation.
3. The Grace of God in our Calling to Serve in the Ministry.
4. The Grace of God in our Times of Needs and Prosperity.
5. The Grace of God in our Humility
1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
Matthew 23:12 For whoever exalts
himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
Jonah 2:8 Those who cling to worthless
idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.
NOTE:
GOD GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE AND
WE HUMBLE AND BECOME HUMBLE BY GOD'S GRACE. MEEKNESS IS NOT A SIGN OF WEAKNESS
IT TAKES A LOT OF STRENGTH AND COURAGE TO BECOME MEEK AND HUMBLE
Daniel 10:12 Then he continued, "Do not be
afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.
DANIEL PRAYER MAKES US HUMBLE.
DANIEL PRAYER IS 3X PRAYING
WITH THANKSGIVING DAILY ON OUR
KNEES
Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel learned that the
decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.
NOTE: PRAYERLESSNESS IS A
FORM OF PRIDE THAT SHOWS YOU CAN MAKE OR DO IT WITHOUT GOD. NEGLECTING TO PRAY IS NEGLECTING TO HUMBLE YOURSELF BEFORE GOD.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
Hebrews 3:15
As has just been said:"Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your
hearts as you did in the rebellion.“
NOTE:
DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD'S VOICE IS REBELLION
GOD BREAKS DOWN THE STUBBORN PRIDELeviticus 26:18 'If after all this you will not listen to me, I will
punish you for your sins seven times over.Leviticus 26:19 I will break down your
stubborn pride and make the sky above you like iron and the ground beneath you like bronze.
Leviticus 26:20 Your strength will be spent in vain, because your soil will not yield its crops, nor will the trees of the land yield their fruit.
1Peter 5:5 Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.",
NOTE: WE HUMBLE AND BECOME HUMBLE WHEN WE ACCEPT CORRECTIONS AND REBUKES
Titus 2:15 These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.
Psalms 51:3
For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.
Matthew 6:14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Matthew 18:35 "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."
Romans 12:16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
(CEV) Be friendly with everyone. Don't be proud and feel that you are smarter than others. Make friends with ordinary people.
(AMP) Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits.(1)
(NLT) Live in harmony with each other. Don't try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don't think you know it all!
1Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.
James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Jeremiah 9:23 This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches,
Jeremiah 9:24 but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
2Corinthians 10:17
But, "Let him who boasts boast in the
Lord."[3]
James 4:13 Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."
James 4:14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
James 4:15 Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
James 4:16 As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil.
