1. A group of 8-12, varied people

• Defer judgment• Build on the ideas of others• Encourage wild ideas• Go for quantity• Be visual• Stay focused on the topic• One conversation at a time

7 steps for brainstorming…

1. Define your problem or issue as a creative challenge.

2. Give yourselves a time limit. 3. Laughing is to be encouraged. Criticism is not.4. Select the five ideas which you like best. 5. Write down about five criteria for judging which

ideas best solve your problem. 6. Give each idea a score of 0 to 5 points

depending on how well it meets each criterion. 7. The idea with the highest score will best solve

your problem.
