Walking with the beat

that sweet rhythm moves my feet,

arms, hips, lips, navigate the great abyss.

I gravitate towards the meter

of the measure

of the fissure

of time.

I cannot hear the wind outside my headphones,

across

the ground but I am well

acquainted with the sound. So I forgo the

obvious for the ambiguous. The path less

traveled

for the thrill of the surprise.
