Endeavour Awards - Aims

• Develop on-going educational, research and professional linkages between individuals, organisations and countries;

• Provide opportunities for high achieving individuals from Australia and overseas to increase their skills and enhance their global awareness;

• Contribute to Australia’s position as a high quality education and training provider, and a leader in research and innovation; and

• Increase the productivity of Australians through an international study, research or professional development experience.

Cheung Kong Research Fellowships

• Endeavour Vocational Education & Training (VET) Awards

• Endeavour Executive Awards

• Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Postgraduate Awards

General Eligibility

1. Must be citizens of Thailand or citizens of the participating countries.

2. Not currently studying the program.

3. Not holding dual citizenship or permanent residency status in Australia.

4. Meet English language requirements of proposed institution and for obtaining a visa.

5. Must have applied for and gained admission to study at a course in an Australian institution.

6. Applicants who completed an Endeavour Award and/or AusAID scholarship in the 2 calendar years before the current round (2010-2011) are not eligible.

7. Recipients must commence their program between 1 January 2013 - 30 November 2013

1. Endeavour Postgraduate Awards

• Level of study : Masters and PhD

• Duration : up to 2 years for Masters: up to 4 years for PhD

• Funding : up to AUD 118,500 for Mastersup to AUD 228,500 for PhD

- Travel allowance

- Establishment allowance - Monthly stipend- Tuition fees

Endeavour Postgraduate Awards - Eligibility

1. Completed an undergraduate degree with high academic achievement.

2. Gained admission to a Masters or PhD course in Australia. 3. English language proficiency :

IELTS - 6.5 or TOEFL - PBT 580, CBT 230, IBT 90

(Exemption for students who have completed at least one year of university conducted in English in the last 10 years from countries listed in the Australia Awards website.)

2. Endeavour Research Fellowships & Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowships

• Level of study : Short term postgraduate/ postdoctoral research

• Duration : 4 – 6 months

• Funding : up to AUD 23,500

- Travel allowance

- Establishment allowance

- Monthly stipend

Endeavour Research Fellowships & Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowships –

Eligibility 1. Must be enrolled in a Master or PhD course in home

country or have completed a PhD course.

2. Have completed an undergraduate degree with high

academic achievement. 3. English language proficiency :

IELTS - 6.5 or TOEFL - PBT 580, CBT 230, IBT 90

Endeavour Research Fellowships & Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowships –

Eligibility

• IELTS exemption for students who have completed at least one year of university conducted in English in the last 10 years from countries listed in the Australia Awards website.

or • Written confirmation from the host organisation /

institution that the their English language is suitable for the program - for Postdoctoral research applicants only

3. Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards• Level of study : Diploma, Advanced Diploma,

Associate Degree

• Duration : 1 to 2 ½ years

• Funding : up to AUD 119,500 (total for duration)- Travel allowance- Establishment allowance- Monthly stipend- Tuition fees- English language training (up to 6 months)

Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards – Eligibility

1. Have completed a qualification equivalent to the Australian Senior School Certificate of Education(Year 12).

2. Must have applied and gained admission to a course at Australian VET institution.

3. IELTS – 5 or TOEFL - PBT 510, CBT 180, IBT 64 (Exemption for students who have completed at least one year of full-time post secondary school conducted in English in the last 10 years from countries listed in the Australia Awards website.)

4. Endeavour Executive Awards

• Provides professional development opportunities of 1 to 4 months for high achievers in business, industry, academia or government.

• Focuses on building skills and knowledge through a host work environment, rather than through formal enrolment in a study program and are not intended to fund direct academic research.

Endeavour Executive Awards – Eligibility

1. Completed at least senior secondary school; a vocational qualification of at least Certificate III; or an undergraduate degree.

2. A record of good academic achievement and a minimum of five years full-time or equivalent relevant work experience are highly desirable.

3. Nominated by host organisation.

Endeavour Executive Awards – Eligibility

• IELTS – 6.5 or TOEFL - PBT 580, CBT 230, IBT 90– Exemption for students who have completed at least one year of

full-time post secondary school conducted in English in the last 10 years from countries listed on the Australia Awards website.
