Specific cross references

Take water in a clean transparent glass or vessel let

the water level stand steady.

Then sprinkle slowly the fine powder Bhasma by

rubbing between index and thumb finger.

If the Bhasma is fine it will stand on water without

sinking.

Physical Examination

The Bhasma of dhatu will be very very lighter than the

dhatu.

So it will not sink in the water.

Bhasma will be heavier than water and so it should sink in

water.

But they all are heavy in comparison to water, and when they come into contact of the fire and get converted into Bhasma form, they become light and the heaviness is destroyed.

But it will be heavier than water and so it should sink

in water. But it will not,

Because water molecules will have a type of mutual

attraction by which the molecules will be attracting

each other have a network like tanned skin.

Due  to surface tension some heavier minute particles

will be floating on water, as they can not penetrate the

water molecules.

Surface tension

Density

Factor Responsible……..

Surface tension of water is caused by the attraction of water molecules to each other, just as a magnet is attracted to things of metal. (Show the magnet attracting objects such as hair pins, paper clips, nail file, pins, needles, etc.)

A molecule is a single unit or a single part of something that goes in making up the completed whole.

Concept of Surface Tension

They all are heavy in comparison to water, and when they

come into contact of the fire and get converted into

Bhasma form, they become light and the heaviness is

destroyed.

Density of a substance or object is the relation of its mass or weight to its volume.

It is calculated by dividing an object's mass by its volume.

In the International System of Units, and depending on the units of measurement used, density can be expressed in grams per cubic centimetre (g/cm3) or kilograms per cubic metre (kg/m3).

Concept of Density

The expression "particle density" refers to the

number of particles per unit volume, not to the

density of a single particle.

Density of water should be more than bhasma .

Density of Bhasma should be less than water .
