Py/o means Pus.Examples of how Py/o can be used with prefixes or suffixes.1) Pyoderma, pus producing skin infection

2) Pyothorax, having pus in chest cavity

3) Pyosalpinx, having pus in the fallopian tubes

Do you know what py/o means?

› Lipocytes means faty cells

› Lipoma means fatty tumor

› Liposuction means removal of fat beneath the skin

In the Medical World “Fat” means lip/o

› Rhytid/o

› Rhytidoplasty - surgical procedure to remove wrinkles

› Rhytidectomy - surgical removal of wrinkles

Wrinkles aren’t wanted here
