Why come to the Pathway Program

• Location – CA, diverse population, safe, and easily accessible on campus

• Academic Success : Over 75% of students complete Intensive English and enter degree programs

• Curriculum - Speaking & writing, research & presentation skills, culture experiences ( not just in-classroom), and be part of the English speaking environment.– TOELF/IELT preparation classes

• Short-term Programs

Intensive English Program (IEP) - features• Located on the university campus• Class Size: 12-15 students. • All instructors with Master’s degrees and

PhDs• 15-20 experienced instructors with …• 6 different levels: Beginning to

Advanced• Every 8 weeks, students move up 1

level• Level 3 or higher students can take

university classes

Admission

• Apply for intensive English with conditional admission to a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.

• Freshman: 2.75 GPA. Transfer: 2.40 GPA Graduate: 2.50 GPA (3.00 preferred for masters).

• Come to CSUN and enroll in Intensive English. Obtain a TOEFL score of 61/80, or IELTS score of 5.5/6.0 and then enter the degree program.

• During your first year in the degree program you can explore majors and change your major.

Deadlines and Costs

• 5 different entry points each year for IEP.

• Cost for IEP is $5730 for a fall or spring session and $5730 for housing and meal plan.

• Cost to attend degree program is $30,400 per academic year – total of all costs, including housing meals
