the American Prosthodontic Society
The American Prosthodontic Society is the only organization that combines the discipline,
specialty and technology of prosthodontics. Our membership includes specialists, general
dentists, certified and master dental technologists and students. The APS has earned the
reputation of being the singular organization with unrestricted membership where all that
is required is an interest in prosthodontics. There is no better organization than the APS to
bring together the talent, the insight and the experience of practicing dentists, researchers,
dental school faculty and administrators and technologists in one meeting devoted to the
advancement of prosthodontics.
The American Prosthodontic Society is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider of continuing
education credits and continuing education credits for attendance are approved for CDTs
by the NADL National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology. In 2005 we
were very proud to have become the first North American prosthodontic organization to be
approved to provide continuing education credits to dentists practicing in the United Kingdom.

84th ANNUAL MEETING OF THE AMERICAN PROSTHODONTIC SOCIETY
FEBRuARy 23-24, 2012 • SWISSÔTELChICAGO, ILLINOIS
CHICAGO2012 the AMERICAN PROSTHODONTIC SOCIETY
Advance Program
The American Prosthodontic Society is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. APS designates this activity for 13.5 continuing education credits.
Speaker Disclosure StatementThis educational forum will comply with appropriate disclosure policies as set forth by the American Dental Association’s code of ethics and professional standards. The 2012 APS speakers will verbally disclose any material, financial or other relationships that pose a potential conflict of interest. Such disclosures may also be included in written form within the on-site final program. Speakers will also disclose any unapproved use of products or devices that they will be discussing. Disclosure requirements are not intended to imply any impropriety, but rather to inform the audience that they exist.
I am excited to extend a special invitation to you to attend the 84th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Prosthodontic Society. Taking place February 23-24, 2012, this program promises to meet the exemplary educational and networking standards that are a hallmark of our prestigious organization.
Again this year the meeting will take place at the Swissôtel Chicago, which offers beautiful accommodations and state-of-the-art meeting space for our lectures and exhibits.
Program Chair Dr. Larry Brecht has arranged for an extraordinary group of over 26 lecturers from around the world, brought together to highlight the latest research and techniques in prosthodontics with an appropriate focus on Global Prosthodontics. Program highlights include lectures from great speakers such as Dr. Stephen Chu, Dr. Christian Coachman, Dr. Inaki Gamborena, Dr. Frank Spear and Enrico Steger.
This year, Dr. Izchak Barzilay steps in as our Corporate Relations Chair, Dr. Steve Sadowsky returns as chair of our popular Graduate Prosthodontic Program Awards and Dr. John Ball is back to chair the Table Clinic Program. I want to personally thank these dedicated members of the APS for their great contributions to this year’s program.
This year, we will also be honoring two outstanding contributors to prosthodontics: Dr. Tomas Albrektsson will receive the 2012 Golden Medallion Award, and Arnold Wohlwend will be the recipient of the 2012 Kenneth Rudd Award. I encourage you to make your plans now to join us for this important event. I look forward to seeing you in Chicago!

Sincerely,
Carlo Marinello Dr. Med. Dent., MS President
