WASLI って何?

WASLIはこれらを目指すボランティア団体です。

• 世界中の手話通訳者を支援するネットワークになること

• 手話通訳者の全国組織がない国で組織を立ち上げる後押しをすること

• 手話通訳問題についてろう者・盲ろう者組織と共に取り組むこと

2005 – 南アフリカ（ウスター）設立会議

参加 150名、44か国

2007 – スペイン（セゴビア）（世界ろう者会議と同時期・同国で開催）

参加 200名、56か国

2011 – 南アフリカ（ダーバン）（世界ろう者会議と同様）

参加 170名、69か国

2015 – トルコ（イスタンブール）（世界ろう者会議と同様）

参加 300名、58か国

What is WASLI?

WASLI is a volunteer organisation that aims to:

• Be a support network for sign language interpreters worldwide

• Encourage the establishment of national associations of interpreters in

countries that do not have them

• Work in partnership with Deaf and Deafblind Associations on sign language

interpreting issues

2005 – Founding Conference in Worcester,
