Minimum Protocol for Element 6• Sites must be censused—sample is not

adequate• All likely locations in the entire wilderness must

be visited • Data cannot be older than 10 years—and should

not be older than 5 years• Data for each site must include:

– Location– Campsite condition– Number and type of administrative structures

Disturbed Area Rating

0 = Less than 250 ft2

1 = 250-1000 ft2

2 = More than 1000 ft2
