The Promise
Constance is ready to get to work with Tom Mulcair’s NDP team to:– take back our coast by stopping environmentally-
hazardous oil pipeline development projects;– tackle household debt with plans for affordable
childcare and housing; and– defend public health care and reverse Harper’s
$36-billion funding cut.

STRUT– Walk a Mile in My Shoes - June 6Participated in this mile-long walk-a-thon, aptly named Walk a Mile in My Shoes which took place on June 6 at Sunset Beach and raise funds for services to assist LGBT refugees to come to Canada and adapt to Canadian life.

Protect Our Coast Rally at Nelson Park - June 6I met with concerned and engaged citizens about important issues facing Vancouver Centre, including the closing of the Kitsilano Coast Guard Base and the recent oil spill in Burrard Inlet.

Strawberry Festival - June 13Talked with festival goers in the community about their concerns and issues in the upcoming federal election.

Foundation of Hope AGM - June 14This organizations purpose is to enhance the lives of LGBT+ newcomers and their families through financial support to Canadian NGOs working directly with Refugees, Immigrants, and Asylum Seekers, both nationally and internationally

Vision Vancouver AGM - June 18
Attended this AGM for the opportunity to hear reports from Vision Vancouver executive and elected officials; review financial statements and elect members of the new executive. Everything that impacts Vancouver Centre is important to me.

Car Free Day – June 20th
Had a great day at the NDP booth!
I met a lot of concerned citizens and heard about the issues important to them.
A lot of biodegradable balloons were handed out to kids and young and old!
