DAISY’S SONG DAISY’S SONG Daisy ’s song is a simple song sung by a small and
beautiful flower. The song is an expression of his joy and pride in being a foster child of nature. He is sitting in the throne of grass like a king and looks fondly with side glances at each pretty lass passing by. The innocent flower is in the company of the lamb who also is equally innocent.
The poem shows that even small things have their role in the world. Small things can do better than bigger things. Greatness is not based on size or location.

The sun, with his great eye, Sees not so much as I; And the moon, all silver-proud, Might as well be in a cloud.
And O the spring--the spring I lead the life of a king! Couch'd in the teeming grass, I spy each pretty lass
I look where no one dares, And I stare where no one stares, And when the night is nigh, Lambs bleat my lullaby.
