This project I was commisioned for through professor Judith Moldenauer from Wayne State University. I worked with Timothy Spannaus, the author and creator of the book to develop easy to read and understand graphics.
This is an album I recorded in 2012. It is on I-Tunes and various other websites. All of the design work, photography and custom typography I did myself.

This is a poster I designed within a Graphic Design course at Wayne State University where we were to use a specific rhetorical device to commnicate our message. I used amplification by using a close up of the womans screaming mouth along with radiating black and white to emphasize her fear, danger and worry.
The object that I have created an icon for is a capo. Simply put, this device is used for raising the pitch and changing the key of stringed instruments such as, guitars, mandolins, and banjos. The raise of pitch and change of key is done by clamping the capo around the neck of the guitar. This pushes down the strings firmly against the fret board, which in turn shortens the strings. This particular capo is made mostly of metal with rubber on the part that clamps onto the neck of the guitar to prevent from scratching the surface and to make sure the strings are clamped down as firmly as possible. The clamping mechanism on this capo is supported by a spring, which provides for quick release and quick clamping. The shape of this capo is especially unique. Its shape has an organic feel because of the curves in the metal and the sophisticated structure of the capo. Although the capo is pleasing to look at, everything on the capo serves a purpose. The shape of the capo is conducive to clamping and releasing itself to and from the neck of the guitar. Overall the capos unique design plays quite an important role in how it is used.

This is an Icon of a Capo which is a device used on a guitar to quickly change the key by pressing down the strings at a certain position on the guitar. First we were to design the icon then create a poster and other forms of graphic content.
