Objectives
• Develop a 3D National Data Model at all levels of detail encompassing themes relating to requirements of all stakeholders:– Topographic Mapping– Land Administration– Hydrographic Survey– Utilities – Infrastructure– Local Governance and Spatial Planning– Agriculture, Aquaculture and Environment
• Develop a CityGML Application Domain Extension (ADE) for Bahrain

Bahrain CityGML ADE
• Contains extensions to:– CityGML Core: support identify & lifecycle management– Buildings: to include sub-divisions such as building units,
floors/stories– Land Administration: added Strata Parcel feature for vertical land
parcels– Other themes – extended to add additional properties and
defined Bahrain specific code lists
• Utilities – there is an existing draft CityGML ADE but needs evaluating to see if applicable

• Comprehensive 3D National Data Model developed within 6 months• Prototyping team implemented model for all 236 features in Oracle database
and migrated data within 2 months• SLRB team developed the series of demos using key stakeholder
applications within 3 days
