Congratulations on the purchase of your new home!

The sewer for your home uses an Environment-One Grinder Pump and pumps into our sewer system. The pump, which is located on the outside of your home, offers a clean and effective way to dispose of your sewer waste. With proper care, and by following the few guidelines found on the insert, your unit should give you years of dependable service.

We use the Environment-One Pump because of its durability and reliability. Because it is a mechanical device, a failure could occur. If a failure should occur, there will be an audible alarm and the red light on the power panel will come on. You can silence the audible alarm by depressing the button under the power panel. Please stop your water usage until an authorized service technician arrives.

If this situation occurs within normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. through 4 p.m.), contact First Utility District at (865) 740-7824. If it happens on a holiday, weekend, or after normal business hours, please call (865) 966-9021 and leave a message.
