INITIATIVES

Optional Itineraries: Two 3 Night/4 Days were introduced.

Qualitative improvements: Boat ride at lake Pichola in Udaipur was introduced, newdestinations Balasinor and Ajanta were introduced.

Feedback received: In 2012-13, off-board -3.70 & on-board - 3.80 on a scale of 04.

Revision of Menus: Efforts have been made to align the On-Board Menus with menus ofOff-Board venues and give more choice and variety guests.

Installation of RFID Locks: RFID locks have been installed in all rooms.

Sandouk – The Onboard Boutique: Tie Up with HHEC Ltd has been made for supply ofitems for Sandouk which includes customized ties and scarfs etc.

Pilgrim Special Tourist Trains

IRCTC has operated Special Tourist Trains for different Religious like Sikh Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, Jain Circuit, DhamYatra, Jyotirlinga Yatra, etc.

Recently, IRCTC has started the operation of Pilgrim Special Tourist Trains, which are announced in Rail Budget2014- 15.

Total number of passengers travelled on thirteen Pilgrim Special Trains are 6,451 and generated revenue of Rs. 8.62Crore approx.

Itineraries for the period of April & June’ 2015 has been finalised and uploaded on tourism portal of IRCTC i.e.www.irctctourism.com.

Election Special Trains 2014-15

IRCTC was nominated as single window service to book the FTR trains for movementof security forces across India during the General & Assembly Election (Mar-Feb’2015).

• During 2014- 15, IRCTC has successfully booked/ operated 322 trains for GeneralElections.

• During 2015- 16, IRCTC has operated 70 trains for Bihar, Assam (partial) & West BengalState Elections.

• During 2016- 17 (till Aug’16), IRCTC has operated 83 trains for Kerala, Tamil Nadu,Pondicherry & Assam State Elections.

Value added services

IRCTC is able to focus on FTRs as a distinct business segment and devote resources for ensuring proper service.

Tasks being handled:

Post booking coordination and liaison with Railways-

Train order issuance,

Ensuring rake availability in time.

Ticketing- railway ticket issuing and handover to party.

On the run- Different category services being planned… catering, cleaning, security, PAD services.

Coordination with Railways for right time running.

Rail Tour package (RTP): All inclusive packages with confirmed Rail Reservation- Train Travel + Road Transport +Accommodation + Sightseeing + Meals

Land tour Package (LTP): Road Transport + Accommodation + Sightseeing + Meals

RTP with charter coach/train: IRCTC provides entire tour package services to the clients on full charter train orcoach.

Customized Tour packages: IRCTC provide tailor made or customised services to the client where all theservices are provided as per his/ her demand.

LTC Tour Packages: IRCTC provide LTC tour packages to Govt. employees.

Operation of Outbound packages started in 2013-14. IRCTC now operates packages Dubai, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, China, Switzerland, Pairs, Russia, Vietnam &

Malaysia, etc.

Education Tours

EDUCATIONAL TRAINSGyanodaya V was inaugurated by the Minister of State (Sports) and Minister of State (Home Affairs).

IRCTC have operated Special Train- Gyanodaya V for 850 students of Delhi University for project completion.

It covered the destinations and places of North East India like Guwahati, Manipur, Aizwal, Imphal, Tripura, Mizoram, Jorhat, kohima, Itanagar, etc.

Focus on CSR - Sustainable Model

Expending approx100% on Railway Projects CSR Toilets Water ATMs at D E and F stations

MNCs and large corporate can work with Self Help groups to monitor, maintain and measure impact and provide CSR funds for CAPEX and AMC.

Such corporate will sustain these low traffic stations with high citizen impact by selling beverages etc. with revenue sharing with SHGs.
