Traceerbaarheid (NEN -EN 15343)
• Volgens de kaderverordening 1935/ 2004 (art. 17) moeten vanaf 27 oktober 2006 verpakkingen en gebruiksartikelen traceerbaar zijn in alle stadia in alle stadia om het toezicht, het terugroepen van producten met gebreken, de voorlichting van de consument en de vaststelling van de aansprakelijkheid te vergemakkelijken.
• Daartoe dienen exploitanten van bedrijven te beschikken over systemen en procedures, waarmee vastgesteldvastgesteld kan worden door en aan welke bedrijven aan welke bedrijven de bij hun productie gebruikte stoffen of producten zijn geleverdgeleverd.

• 1) bij dikte ≥ 25 µm (~0.001 in) bij KT en lager, en
• 2) bij dikte ≥ 50 µm (~0.002 in) bij hogere temperaturen, inclusief gebruik als “dual-ovenable container” voor koken van voedsel bij 150°C gedurende 30 min, op voorwaarde dat een voedselcontact verpakkingen worden gebruikt om de gerecyclede laag te maken.
• In deze gevallen zal aanwezigheid van virgin PET laag zekerheid bieden dat migratie van contaminanten naar levensmiddel niet zal resulteren in EDI groter dan 1,5 µg/persoon/dag (incl. CF 0.05)
