2008).
Samazinās to ģimeņu skaits, kurās vecāki darbojas kopā ar bērniem. 2008.
gadā organizētajos Latvijas ģimeņu sportošanas svētkos Rīgā piedalījās vidēji
300 ģimeņu no visas Latvijas, Kuldīgā vidēji 40 ģimeņu no Kurzemes reģiona,
sportošanas paradumiem”, secinām, ka 49% no aptaujātajiem iedzīvotājiem
izpratne par ģimenes sporta nozīmi bērna attīstībā;
organizēšanā ģimenē;
- fizisko aktivitāšu organizēšanā līdztiesīgi sadarbosies ģimene un topošie
sporta pedagogi.

Pētījuma zinātniskā novitāte
Izstrādāts teorētiski pamatots un praksē realizēts ģimenes sporta
īstenošanas modelis pirmsskolas izglītībā, balstoties uz holistisko pieeju bērna
audzināšanā.
Pētījuma teorētiskā nozīmība
Literatūras un daţādu pētījumu izpēte rezultātā definēts ģimenes sports
pirmsskolas izglītībā kā pētījuma kategorija. Autores izveidotais definējums
balstīts uz A.Banduras sociālās mācīšanās teorijas, D.Lieģenieces kopveseluma
pielikumi. Analizēti 270 literatūras avoti, no tiem 103 – latviešu valodā, 142 –
angļu valodā, 25 – krievu valodā. Teorētisko un praktisko atziņu rezultāti
vizualizēti 23 tabulās un 29 attēlos.
Promocijas darba saturs
ietekmē to pastāvēšanu un attīstību.
vidi. Viņš aplūko bērna attīstības sistēmu attiecību kontekstā, kas veido bērna
apkārtējo vidi, nodalot to vairākos slāņos.
10
Izglītības process ir sareţģīts sistēmu veidojums, ko kopš pagājušā
gadsimta 80. gadiem ar jaunu skatījumu ieviesa R.Millers (Miller, 1997),
Dţ.Millers (Miller, 2005), nosaucot to par holistisko izglītību. Par to ir rakstījuši
daudzi autori, atklājot to no daţādiem skatpunktiem, – D.Orss (Orr, 1992),
(Keith, Keith, Bickley, Singh, 1992; Keith, Keith,
Quirk, Cohen–Rosenthal, Franzese, 1996; Keith, Keith, Quirk, Sperduto,
Santillo, Killings, 1998).
1.2. apakšnodaļā „Bērna personības veidošanās izglītošanās procesā
pirmsskolā” apkopoto daţādu autoru teorijas, kas pamato kognitīvās mācīšanās
kā indivīda radošās komunikācijas dinamisku procesu, mācīšanās notiek,
novērojot citus darbībā. Tādējādi iegūtā radošā pieredze un informācija ietekmē
personības darbības veidu, kurā mācīšanās process notiek atklājumu ceļā.
Iegūtās kognitīvās prasmes un stratēģijas nodrošina iespēju indivīdam
attīstīties. A.Banduras (1977) izveidotais personības teoriju apskats norāda, ka
vecumposmam. Visstraujākā attīstība notiek tieši vecumā no dzimšanas līdz 7
gadiem, par to liecina vecumposmu periodizācijā sīkais sadalījums pa gadiem.
paaudzei un sagatavo to sabiedriskās darbības turpināšanai – pārmantojamība
(Špona, 2006; Ţukovs, 1996);
- process, kura rezultātā notiek bērna attīstība un harmoniskas personības
veidošanās (Šteiners, 1994, 2005; Moнтессори, 1997; Lieģeniece, 1999);
2001; Duncan, Duncan, Strycker, Chaumeton, 2004; Brotherson, 2006; Adolph,
Berger, 2006).
Analizējot fizisko aktivitāšu nozīmi, izmantojumu, saturu un uzdevumus
ģimenes sportā pirmsskolā, shematiski to var attēlot šādi (1. attēls):
1. att. Ģimenes sporta mērķis, uzdevumi, organizēšana un līdzekļi
pirmsskolā
Tādējādi tiek norādīts sporta kā universāla fenomena raksturojošās iezīmes
harmoniskas personības veidošanā.
Svarīgi veidot bērniem motivāciju regulāri nodarboties ar fiziskajām
aktivitātēm, – ja tas netiek darīts bērnībā, tad to jau mazliet sareţģītākā pakāpē
- plašākā socializācija – nozīmē procesu visas dzīves garumā;
jaunveidojumi (Эриксон, 1996).

Keskes, 2007).
1.3.3. paragrāfs „Bērna fizisko aktivitāšu nepieciešamības teorētiskais
pamatojums”.
Bērna nepieciešamība pēc kustībām ir pētīta psiholoģijā (Piaget, 2001;
Эриксон, 1996), pedagoģijā (Montesori, 2004; Pica, 2000, 2003; Špona, 2006;
Jansone, 1999, 2005), kinezioloģijā (Hillman, Ericson, Kramer, 2008; Ţivčic,
Trajkovski -Višić, Sentderdi, 2008; Sibley, Etnier, 2003; Duesund 2003, 2004,
2005).
(Flemmens 2006).
Analizēti 270 literatūras avoti, no tiem 103 – latviešu valodā, 142 – angļu
valodā, 25 – krievu valodā.
Empīriskās pētījuma metodes:
Fona datu ieguve par ģimenes sporta ietekmējošiem faktoriem – vecāku,
studentu un pirmsskolas pedagogu skatījumā.
- 211 ģimenes no Latvijas reģioniem (Latgales, Kurzemes, Zemgales) un
Rīgas (2007.g.);
- 189 pirmsskolas pedagogi no Latvijas reģioniem (Latgales, Kurzemes,
Zemgales) un Rīgas (2007.g.);
- 321 Latvijas Sporta pedagoģijas akadēmijas pilna un nepilna laika
studenti (2006./2007. studiju gads).

par to, ko fiziskās aktivitātes vecākiem kopā ar bērniem dos bērna personības
attīstībā, kāpēc Latvijā netiek rīkoti vai tiek rīkoti reti ģimeņu sporta svētki,
neveidojas tradīcijas ģimeņu sportā, nav pēctecības, tika iegūti šādi rezultāti (2.
tabula).

Studenti (n=321) 260 81 247 77 311 96,8
Studenti papildus min iemeslu,
ka nav, kur gūt pieredzi pasākumu organizēšanā, un nav praktisku iespēju to
darīt;
- zināšanu un prasmju trūkums gan vecākiem, gan pirmsskolas
pedagogiem, gan studentiem;
- nav pieredzes pasākumu organizēšanā;
ar bērnu vecākiem;
19
uzdevuma veikšana (piemēram, no dabas materiāliem izveidot kompozīciju
„Rudentiņš bagāts vīrs”). Šāda kopīga uzdevuma veikšana tiek lietota mūsu
izstrādātajā ģimenes sporta īstenošanas modelī pirmsskolas izglītībā, kur
bērniem kopā ar vecākiem ir jāizpilda daţādi fiziskie vingrinājumi;
2. att. Ģimenes sporta īstenošanas modelis pirmsskolas izglītībā,
balstīts uz holistisko pieeju bērna audzināšanā
Izveidotā ģimenes sporta īstenošanas modeļa pirmsskolā struktūrelementi ir:
- bērns ar daudzveidīgām spējām, savām vajadzībām un interesēm;
20
- vecāki, kuri piedalās ģimenes sporta īstenošanā;
- pedagogi (topošie sporta pedagogi - studenti), kuri izglīto vecākus un bērnus
ģimenes sporta īstenošanai pirmsskolas izglītībā;
- vide, kurā notiek bērnu, vecāku un pedagogu savstarpējā mijiedarbība;
- aktīva līdzdalība fiziskajās aktivitātēs kopā ar bērniem;
- bērna iedrošināšana darboties;
- fizisko aktivitāšu organizēšana ģimenē.
Sporta pedagogs.
- vecāku un bērnu izglītošana par fiziskajām aktivitātēm;
(Piaget, 1970).
Vide. Lai realizētu fiziskās aktivitātes, vides izmantošanai var būt divi
varianti. Iekārtota vide – sporta zāle, stadions, to transformējot konkrētas
nodarbības vajadzībām. Iespējams izmantot vidi – dabu kā papildu līdzekli
fiziskajām aktivitātēm, izmantojot ainavu. Gan bērniem, gan pieaugušajiem
fiziskās aktivitātes brīvā dabā, palīdz atjaunot darbaspējas un relaksēties(Grants,
radot teorētiski pamatotu fizisko aktivitāšu saturu ģimenes sportā, papildinot to

- uz vecāku zināšanā, prasmēm un attieksmi darboties kopā ar bērniem;
- uz izveidoto fizisko aktivitāšu mājasdarba kopumu, kuru īsteno vecāki
kopā ar bērniem;
- uz vecāku un sporta pedagogu teorētisko un praktisko izglītošanu;
- bērnu pedagoģiski psiholoģisko procesu un motorās darbības rādītāji;
- vecāku audzināšanas pieredze;
(С. Д. Забрамная) un O.Borovika (О. В. Боровик) izstrādātajām metodiskajām
Iegūtie rezultāti liecina par to, ka bērns pāriet no tuvākās

vecāki ir vairāk izglītojušies par ģimenes sportu;
aktivitātēm;
vecāki ir sākuši izprast fizisko aktivitāšu nozīmi bērna personības attīstībā
ilgtermiņā;
ir mainījušās attiecības ģimenē.
3.3.3. paragrāfā „Audzināšanas pieredze topošajiem sporta pedagogiem pēc
studiju kursa programmas “Pirmsskolas sporta didaktika” īstenošanas”
harmoniskas personības veidošanos;
- vecāku iesaistīšanās bērna izglītošanās procesā pozitīvi ietekmē bērna
akadēmiskos sasniegumus, panākumu gūšanu daţādās jomās, to skaitā sportā.
dzīvē ilgtermiņā;
- pirmsskolā sports ir bērna attīstību veicinošs, harmoniskas personības
sekmējošs un socializējošs process.
Ģimenes sporta īstenošanas modelis pirmsskolas izglītībā, balstīts uz
holistisko pieeju bērna audzināšanā, iespējams, ja
- bērns tiek skatīts kā personība ar savām interesēm un vajadzībām;
- tiks iesaistīti: bērni, vecāki un sporta pedagogi;
- vecāki un sporta pedagogi savstarpējā sadarbībā veidos bērna attīstībai
sekmējošu vidi un saturu;
- veidojot vecāku audzināšanas pieredzi, viņus izglītojot par fizisko
aktivitāšu nepieciešamību un regularitāti bērna attīstības sekmēšanai – vecāku
seminārus;
- piedāvājot vecākiem līdzdarboties fiziskajās aktivitātē – mājas
uzdevumos kopā bērniem;
- veidot neformālus apstākļus sporta pedagogu, vecāku un bērnu
sadarbības sekmēšanai – ģimenes sporta svētkus.
- 84,7% studentu;
- 22,3% pirmsskolas pedagogu;
- 87,9% studentu;
- 64% pirmsskolas pedagogu;
- 89,6% vecāku.
Vidējs darbības indekss, iesaistot savu ģimeni fiziskajās aktivitātēs ir:
- 74,5% studentu;
- 75,6% pirmsskolas pedagogu;
26
Nav ģimeņu sporta svētku organizētāju – to norāda:
- 81% studentu;
- 94,2% pirmsskolas pedagogu;
- 73% vecāku.
Nav pietiekamas zināšanas par fizisko aktivitāšu nozīmību bērna attīstības
sekmēšanai – to norāda:
- 77% studentu;
- 50,8% pirmsskolas pedagogu;
- 88,6% vecāku.
Nav pietiekama sadarbība starp vecākiem un pedagogiem – to norāda:
- 96,8% studentu;
- 46% pirmsskolas pedagogu;
- 94,8% vecāku.
- bērns ar daudzveidīgām spējām, savām vajadzībām un interesēm;
- vecāki, kuri piedalās ģimenes sporta īstenošanā;
- pedagogi (topošie sporta pedagogi - studenti), kuri izglīto vecākus un
bērnus ģimenes sporta īstenošanā;
- vide (fiziskā un sociālā), kurā notiek bērnu, vecāku un pedagogu
savstarpējā mijiedarbība un socializēšanās;
- uz vecāku zināšanām, prasmēm un attieksmi, lai darbotos kopā ar bērniem;
bērniem;
- uz vecāku un sporta pedagogu teorētisko un praktisko izglītošanu;
To apstiprina arī vidēji ciešā
- vecāki ir izglītojušies par ģimenes sportu;
- ģimenē vairāk ir sākuši nodarboties ar daţāda veida fiziskajām aktivitātēm;
- vecāki izprot fizisko aktivitāšu nozīmi bērna personības attīstībā ilgtermiņā.
- studentu audzināšanas pieredzi;
- teorētiskās bāzes nozīmīgumu fizisko aktivitāšu organizēšanā un ģimenes
28
sportošanas paradumu veidošanā;
- praktisko empīrisko pieredzi ģimenes sporta īstenošanā.

General Characterization of PhD Thesis
People are social beings and feel greater or smaller belonging to some
social group: family, school, formal or informal organization, and try to become
their integral part. Social environment for human beings is an arena, in which is
examined their understanding of behavior and their activity, because the
experience, obtained in social environment, influences their activity and the
formation of personality.
Strong dimension of social environment is family; the functioning of it
takes place in close connection with changes in society. Main factors, creating
for children difficulties in learning and behavior, and later in finding their place
in life, is inability to adapt, insecure inner feeling and being afraid from not
being accepted (Dreikur, 1964; Boulbijs, 1998; Brown, 2007).
In family and at school more and more often appear children with apathetic
or hyperactive behavior, who lack motivation to learn or pursue physical
activities. Professional pedagogues struggle with the consequences of this
process, trying to improve school Curricula, introducing interactive learning
methods, optimizing study plans. To attract youngsters to active lifestyle are
organized Sport Days and other events, including physical activities, the final
result of which not always is sufficient in at aspect of health promotion and
personality development (Jansone, Fernāte, 2008).
The number of families, in which parents go in for sports together with
children, diminishes. In 2008 were organized Latvian family sporting festival in
Riga, in which participated about 300 families from the whole Latvia; about 40
families from Kurzeme district participated in Kuldiga, in Rezekne participated
about 80 families, in Lielvarde: only 17 families.
In families word "sport" due to stereotypes, formed in society, is associated
with competition one against another, not with competition, in which people
compete with them, and their aim is to promote their health. European Sport
Charter defines: "Sport denotes all kinds of physical activity, which with
unorganized or organized participation promotes the maintenance or
improvement of physical and mental health, well-being, the formation of social
relations and reaching results in all kinds of competitions."
But from the data, obtained in the investigation in Latvia, carried out in
market and public opinion investigation centre "SKDS” (December, 2007) about
"Sporting habits of Latvian inhabitants", can be concluded that 49% from
respondents do not pursue physical activities, because of "the lack of time" and
due to the opinion that "it is not necessary to pursue physical activities".
In democratic society more and more is expressed an opinion that parent
task is to help their children to become such human beings, who are able to
adapt to fast changing environment, work creatively and independently seek for
solutions.
37
To enable child to learn independently and be successful in life, one should
start with family, and one of the means, which will help to carry out this task, is
family sport.
Main task of sport is to maintain and improve health, promote physical
development, toughen one's body, develop physical abilities. Every Sport class
opens possibilities to instill in children creative initiative, devotion to work,
responsibility about the results of the work, develop social skills and
acquirements (Grants, 1997, 2003, 2007; Špona, 2006; Jansone, Krauksts,
2005).
Such a many-sided problem needs united, wholesome or holistic approach.
The investigations with the help of holistic approach show that many-sided
problems can be solved in one perspective, supplementing each other.
Holistic education is connected with social responsibility. We want our
children to think critically about social, political and economical problems.
From holistic view sustainable democratic society needs free and socially
responsible person. Education in democratic society means allowing child to
develop freely in accordance with his or her uniqueness, age group and interests.
Pedagogues supporting holistic education believe that everything is mutually
connected, unity through diversity as spirituality of all live bodies.
- Main contradictions:
- Society is being informed about the necessity of physical activities and
their importance in health promotion, but surveys indicate that the attendance of
physical activities is little, people excuse themselves with busyness.
- Physical activities mostly are connected with physical development,
paying less attention to psychical and social development.
- Upbringing environment, which suits children the best, is family.
Successful child development takes place, when parents show an example and
involve together in physical activities, however more often parents delegate this
function to pre-school education establishments, but the task of pre-school
pedagogues is to perfect basic skills, acquired in family, and prepare child for
learning in primary school, which cannot always be carried out, because pre-
school has to perform functions of the family.
Main contradiction prompted the theme of PhD thesis: "Holistic approach
in family sport in pre-school education".
The object of the research: family sport.
The subject of the research: holistic approach in child upbringing for
instilling family sport in pre-school education.
Research base: family (parents and their children), pre-school pedagogues
and students of Latvian Academy of Sport Education.
38
The aim of the research: working out the model of the realization of
family sport and its approbation in pre-school, taking as the foundation holistic
approach in child upbringing.
The hypothesis of the research:
The realization of family sport in pre-school education, taking as the
foundation holistic approach in child upbringing, is possible to promote, if:
- family, pre-school pedagogue and future sport pedagogues understand the
importance of family sport in child development;
- family, pre-school pedagogue and future sport pedagogues have positive
attitude to physical activities and they actively organize physical activities in
family;
- on equal basis in organizing physical activities will participate family and
further sport pedagogues.
The tasks of the research
1. Investigate theoretical foundation of holistic approach in child
upbringing and the possibilities of using it in pre-school education.
2. Investigate parent, pre-school pedagogue and student attitudes and
understanding of family sport, their activities in realizing it.
3. Work out the model of realizing family sport in pre-school education,
taking as the foundation holistic approach in child education, and parent, pre-
school pedagogue and student understanding of family sport, their attitude to it
and their activities in realizing it. 4. Approbate the model of the realization of family sport in pre-school,
taking as the foundation holistic approach in child upbringing.

theories of personality, common interconnections between the theories of sport
pedagogy and psychology, the application of educating theory to the realization
of sport in family.
Empirical research methods:
- questionnaire method, pedagogic experiment, partly structured interview,
student self-evaluation, observation.
- The processing of quantitive and qualitative data and their interpretation: The processing of the obtained quantitive and qualitative data, graphical
interpretation of the results.
- The method of mathematical statistics.
The base of the research:
In quantitative research:
- 211 families from Latvia regions (Latgale, Kurzeme, Zemgale) and
Riga (year 2007);
- 189 families from Latvia regions (Latgale, Kurzeme, Zemgale) and
Riga (year 2007);
- 321full and part time students from Latvian Academy of Sport
Education (study year 2006/2007).
In qualitative research:
- 30 families (parents with children);
- 275 full and part time students from Latvian Academy of Sport
Education (academic years 2007/2008 and 2008/2009).
The stages of the research:
In the first stage of the research (September 2003 – May 2007) was
analyzed the problem, set forth in PhD Thesis, viewing it from the furthest
distance. Started theoretical analysis of literature and was formulated the initial
hypothesis. To find out the habits of physical activities in family started the
translation and modifying of Piech questionnaire "Running habits in family".
40
Taking into consideration the results, obtained in this stage, was determined the
direction of research and set forth the aim and tasks of the research.
In the second stage of the research (May 2007 – September 2008) was
carried out pedagogical experiment. Was carried out pedagogical observation
(for children). Were obtained video materials and using the worked out
parameters and criteria of pedagogical and psychological process was
determined the level of child development at the given moment and found out
mutual correlations between these parameters. To confirm the obtained
quantitative data, was used qualitative research method: interview with parents.
Supplemented program of the study course "Pre-school sport didactics" and
it was realized in Latvian Academy of Sport Education. Carried out content
analysis of student self-evaluation about enrichment of knowledge, the
development of skills and attitudes in the program of the study course "Pre-
school sport didactics". The results of the research approbated in international
scientific conferences.
In the third stage of the research (September 2008 – June 2009) were
collected student self-evaluations of the study course "Pre-school sport
didactics", approbated in practice. Was started processing and analysis of the
obtained data. Was formed the model for the realization of family sport in pre-
school education.
Qualitative and quantitative conclusions, obtained in the end of the stage of
the research, were analyzed and final conclusions were drawn, the results of the
research were approbated in international scientific conferences.
Scientific novelty of the research
Worked out theoretically justified and in practice realized the model of the
realization of family sport in pre-school education, taking as the foundation
holistic approach in child upbringing.
Theoretical significance of the research
In the result of the research of literature and different investigations was
defined family sport in pre-school education as a research category. The
definition worked out by the author is based on A.Bandura social learning
theory, D.Liegeniece wholesome approach to child upbringing, J.Grants many-
sided didactical approach to child education, R.Jansone theoretical viewpoint,
concerning "I" positive emotions in physical activities and A.Fernate insights
about basic functions of sport.
Family sport in pre-school education is a set of everyday physical
activities and/or participation in organized sport events in active interaction:
children act together and encourage children to be active, improving mutual
relations between parents and children, promoting harmonious development
of the personality and instilling of the habits of healthy lifestyle in family in
long-term.
41
In the course of the investigation was clarified and theoretically justified
mutual interconnection between parent involvement in family sport and its
influence on child upbringing.
Practical significance of the research
Program of the study course "Pre-school sport didactics", which has been
worked out and approbated, can be used in study process of pedagogical higher
education institutions, educating pre-school pedagogues. The set of physical
activities, which has been worked out and approbated in practice, can be used in
the formation of family sporting habits.
Thesis for the defense
- Holistic approach in child upbringing in family sport in pre-school
education can be realized, if the child si regarded as a personality in social
environment, in which parents in cooperation with sport pedagogue offer the
contents of physical activities in accordance with child needs, interests and
abilities.
- Parents, pre-school pedagogues and future sport pedagogues have positive
attitude and understanding about family sport as means for child purposeful
development, however sport activities are not always pursued. They indicate
insufficient amount of knowledge and skills, concerning the organization of
physical activities.
- In the model of the realization of family sport on equal basis is realized
cooperation between sport pedagogues and family for the promotion of child
purposeful development. Parents with children execute physical exercises. Sport
pedagogues educate parents and organize family sport festivities.
- Parents, participating in sport activities together with children, enrich
knowledge and develop skills, necessary for executing physical activities, and
develop positive attitude, simultaneously promoting child upbringing.
- Future sport pedagogues, cooperating with families in the process of the
realization of family sport, improve knowledge, skills and attitudes in
upbringing experience.
The structure of Promotion work is formed by: an introduction, three
parts, conclusions and 9 supplements. Altogether are analyzed 269 sources of
literature, from them: 103 sources in Latvian, 141: in English, and 25: in
Russian. The results of theoretical and practical insights are visualized in 23
tables and 27 figures.
The contents of PhD Thesis:

the research. Is described the methodology of the research, the base of the
research and its organization.
Chapter 1 "Theoretical basis of holistic approach in pedagogical,
psychological and social aspect of child development in family sport".
In subchapter 1.1. "Holistic approach in education and educating
aspect is given joint characterization of holistic approach and its essence in
education and educating aspects. Is analyzed holistic approach as holistic
understanding of human being as wholesome unity, of social environment and of
the interaction between people and social environment in the process of
education, and of wholesome development of personality.
Viewing human being as wholesome unity, one of the first explanations is
given by J.Smuts (Smuts, 1926), indicating that holism is synthesis of creative
process, the results of which are not static, but dynamically evolutional and
creative. Human being altogether is the result of activity, not only separate
psychic and physical processes. As wholesome unity human being is viewed in
M.Montessori pedagogy, Valdorfpedagogy and Reggio Emilli pedagogy, as well
as one of basic postulates of human pedagogy, at the centre of which is human
being with his or her willpower, feelings and activity, because one-sided
featuring of human being only at mental level does not indicate total human
potential.
In holistic approach human being is part of different systems; he or she
has inherited the characteristics of these systems, including many-sidedness,
characteristic of the objects of material world.
Environment in holistic categories includes in it physical (material and
tangible) and mental (non-material and non-tangible), as well as social
environment, the set of circumstances, objects, individual mutual relations and
interactions, encircling the objects of live and inanimate nature, securing
existence and connection between objects, influencing their existence and
development.
Essential contribution in the investigation of the significance of social
environment is made by U.Bronfenbrenner (Bronfenbrenner, 1986, 1994), who
has proposed the approach of human bio-ecological development, providing
holistic view at social environment of human being. He views the system of
child development in the context of relations, forming child environment,
dividing it into several layers. Each particular "layer" has its invaluable
influence on the development of child personality. Interactions take place
between child biological preparedness, her or his direction of development,
nearest environment (family, pre-school education institutions) and society
"systems".
The possibilities of realizing holistic approach in family sport in pre-school
should be seen in wholesome mutual cooperation between the development of
child personality and close social environment.
43
The concept of "wholesome" development was introduced by D.Liegeniece
(1999), who carried out investigation about child upbringing, viewing human
being from wholesome positions as united biological being and individuality in
psychological aspect. In the formed model of wholesome approach as the
subject of activity is pedagogue, who is a master of child teaching and
upbringing in united process. Main functions of the pedagogue are to help child
to orientate herself ort himself in multi-sided content and activity, be man
support and explainer in the acquisition of culture and environment.
But in this model is not considered parent significance in child upbringing
and interaction with pedagogue, but the direction of activity is child-pedagogue.
Should be viewed not only child and pedagogue, but also mutual cooperation
between in child education process involved parents and pre-school sport
pedagogues, awareness raising about mutual values in working with children. In
education process is included the unity of learning and upbringing, promoting
child development.
Education process is complex formation of systems, which in 80-ies of the
previous century in new perspective was introduced by R.Miller (Miller, 1997),
J.Millers (Miller, 2005), naming it holistic education. About it have written
many authors, revealing it from many aspects, - D.Orr (Orr, 1992), P.Schreiner
(Schreiner, 2005), D.Marshak (Marshak, 1997, 2003), J.Cheng (Cheng, 1997),
R.G.Nava (Nava, 2000), connecting holistic education with social responsibility.
The aim of holistic education is to promote student love to learning in the
length of the whole life, which is not possible with traditional methods. Holistic
approach, in which is integrated perspective is directed from teaching to
learning, is more effective than others, adapting only one novelty: active, social,
with new technologies improved and child-centered approach (Lukk 2008).
Such an approach in pre-school gives positive perspective, because child
inborn activity and willingness to get to know everything, what is new and
novel, creates natural learning or educating process.
Parent participation and responsibility for child education process include:
parent motivation to involve themselves in the education process of their
children, most optimal form of parent involvement, and positive influence of
parent involvement on child education process.
Parent involvement in the education of their children is not a new concept,
but ways and forms of parent involvement have changed. Parent participation
can be defined as parent involvement in their children education, cooperating
with teachers, helping children to perform home tasks and taking part in school
events (Pinkett, 2002). Several investigations approve the importance of parent
participation in children long-term academic and social achievements (Keith,
Keith, Bickley, Singh, 1992; Keith, Keith, Quirk, Cohen–Rosenthal, Franzese,
1996; Keith, Keith, Quirk, Sperduto, Santillo, Killings, 1998).
44
In subchapter 1.2. "The formation of child personality in education
process in pre-school" are summarized the theories, developed by different
theories, justifying cognitive learning as dynamic process of creative
communication, in which learning takes place, observing activities, performed
by others. Thus the obtained creative experience and information influence the
way how personality acts, in which learning process takes place in the form of
discoveries. The obtained cognitive skills and strategies provide the individual
with the possibility to develop. The survey carried out by A.Bandura (1977)
indicates that the development of human personality is influenced by
environment and human beings, with who they communicate in this
environment, what in its turn influences the formation of individualized social
behavior. Sport environment and communication in this environment especially
influence the model of social behavior.
Study achievements of the individual are determined by inner motivation,
influencing the development of the personality, readiness and willingness to
learn. Learning process takes place through personal experience, allowing each
individual to evaluate their achievements themselves. The achievements
become more and more significant, because individual in learning process has
obtained prior experience, helping to solve similar tasks successfully. Cognitive
process for each individual is different, but there are mutual traits for every age
group. The fastest development of human being takes place from birth to the
age of 7; the proof of this statement is detailed division into periods of age
groups per years.
There are different ways, helping to promote the process of cognition and
organize learning to foster child development in pre-school.
Understanding the development of the personality and the importance of
the processes of cognition in pre-school children, in the methodological
justification of the research should be included educating peculiarities in pre-
school and family, viewing education process from the aspects of development,
upbringing, learning and socialization.
Upbringing can be viewed from several aspects:
- process, in which previous generations hand over their experience to
young generation and prepare it for the continuation of public activity:
inheritance (Špona, 2006; Ţukovs, 1996);
- process, in the result of which takes place child development and
harmonious formation of the personality (Šteiners, 1994, 2005; Montessori,
1997; Lieģeniece, 1999);
- process, in the result of which child realizes the possibility to become
full-fledged member of the society - socializes (Ţukovs, 1996).
In this definition is revealed that upbringing is closely connected with
socialization.
Pre-school age children education takes place in family and also pre-
school education establishment, in the result of which child socializes, learning:
45
behavior: showing emotions and feelings in different situations, the cognition of
nature and social environment, the organization of one's life: participating in
communication and joint actions with other people.
In 1.3. subchapter "Family sport as social phenomenon in culture-
education environment in pre-school" is characterized the concept of sport in
sport pedagogy, sport as socialization process and theoretically justified child
necessity to pursue physical activities.
1.3.1. paragraph „The characterization of sports and its concept in sport
pedagogy".
The fact that sport is encircling human being, is confirmed in European
Union Sport legislation in White Book about sport, in which are indicated
strategic viewpoints concerning social and economic aspect of sport: it is meant
for the health of the society, education and socialization, and sport is defined as:
all kinds of occasional or organized physical activities, aimed at improving
physical and mental form and creating social relations, or in the sake of which
are obtained results in all level competitions.
In sport definitions and the classification of sport directions partly is
revealed its content and forms. Considering the formulation of the type of sport
"sport for all" (folk, mass sport), partly is revealed the essence of family sport,
but in this explanation it is not indicated that family - children and parents -
pursue physical activities together and perform the same activities
simultaneously, what indicates basic feature of family.
Movements and physical education are directed at knowledge, skills and
understanding, connected with awareness rising about body, development and
expression. But movements and physical education is not only knowledge about
movements and physical abilities, as well as movement abilities and skills, there
exist also psychological and sociological aspects, and the development of
psychological and sociological abilities and skills (Penny, Chandler 2000).
Physical skill is characterized as an ability and motivation to gain benefit from
our movement potential, giving considerable contribution in the improvement of
the quality of life (Whitehead, 2005).
All these definitions indicate that physical education includes movements
and physical skills, promoting the development of the personality, using
physical activities.
In the works of many authors can be met different assertions about the
significance of physical activities in securing child health, promoting long-term
active lifestyle and the development of the personality (McKenzie, Alcaraz,
Sallis, Faucette, 1998; Thompson, 2001; Duncan, Duncan, Strycker,
Chaumeton, 2004; Brotherson, 2006; Adolph, Berger, 2006).
46
Analyzing the importance, use and content of physical activities in family
sport in pre-school, schematically it can be shown in the following way (Figure
1):
Figure 1. The aim, tasks, means of the realization and organization
of family sport in pre-school
In such a way are indicated the features of sport as universal phenomenon
in the development of harmonious personality.
It is important that children form motivation of pursuing physical activities,
if is it not secured in childhood, then it can be realized in following years on
already slightly higher level of difficulty. In childhood dominates outer
motivation, which only later transfers into inner motivation. Of great
importance in pursuing physical activities is positive example, shown by
parents, physical preparedness, obtained in childhood, is maintained all the life
long (Perrin, Ferron, Gueguen, Deschamps, 2002).

47
In 1.3.2. paragraph "Family sport as socialization process in pre-school" sport is viewed not only as the means of the development of personality, but also
as one of the solutions of the problems of socialization. The interpretation of
sport widens, in different societies sport is functionally selected as independent,
individual system. Interest about the possibilities of socialization in sport has
been promoted through raising awareness about interrelations between sport and
society, as well as between sport and politics.
Socialization reflects relations between human beings and society. There
exist two versions of the concept of socialization (Маinberg, 1995):
- wider socialization means process in the length of the whole life;
- narrower socialization means process, connected with some definite
period in the life of human being.
Socialization in sport indicates concrete actions of human beings. These
activities can occur totally unconsciously and can be directed in the conditions
of pedagogic process, in which will vividly express themselves the factors of
communication. Taking into account that the process of socialization is
interaction between human being and society, through which human being gets
to know himself and improves himself/herself, it is of special importance in
childhood, when forms child personality, when child undergoes age group crisis,
in the result of which form new structures (Erikson, 1996).
Taking as the foundation research about sport as one of the factors of
socialization, the influence of the sport specialization process in pre-school can
be shown in the following way (Figure 2):
Figure 2. Socialization in sport in pre-school
48
The development of the research of the problems of socialization in sport
pedagogy is connected with different objects in sport pedagogy and varied social
instances: family, pre-school, school, professional environment and society. This
proves that sport socialization is not only physical activity, but process,
surrounding cognitive, emotional and motivation spheres in human activity
(Mylonakou, Keskes, 2007).
1.3.3. paragraph "Theoretical foundations of the necessity of child physical
activities".
Child necessity to move is investigated in psychology (Piaget, 2001;
Erikson, 1996), in pedagogy (Montesori, 2004; Pica, 2000, 2003; Špona, 2006;
Jansone, 1999, 2005), in kinesology (Hillman, Erikson, Kramer, 2008; Ţivčic,
Trajkovski-Višić, Sentderdi, 2008; Sibley, Etnier, 2003; Duesund 2003, 2004,
2005).
Child necessity to move is explained from different aspects: as the
formation of the personality - academic achievements, social and emotional
skills, behaviour, and as securing healthy lifestyle and physiological processes -
preventing obesity, sedentary lifestyle, promoting the formation of skeleton and
systems of the body.
Up to the age of seven children learn basic skills of movements, which will
promote motoric development. This time span up to five years is the only period
in child life, when physical development, physical preparedness and mental
development happen almost in parallel (Ţivčic, Trajkovski -Višić, Sentderdi
2008).
Every step of the child, game and simple activity initially are physical
activities. But parents often lack patience, when child tries to do something
independently, or bother parents: keep running forth and back. Forbidding this
activity or hindering her initiative, willpower and possibility to improve her
skills, is stopped child overall development (Greendorfer, Lewko, 1978; Yang,
Telma, Laakso, 1996).
Limited movements, prohibitions are rest condition in the place of
loosening promote the accumulation of negative emotions (Bandura, 1977).
Parents should find place and time for child the sooner the better, because
then the child could run and jump, developing his body and release tension.
Movements for child are not only body pleasure, but movement development
possibilities are closely connected with intellectual, spiritual and mental abilities
(Flemmens, 2006).
Responsibility for it should assume family, society and state.
The aim of Latvian sport policy is to form healthy, physically and mentally
developed personalities. In the conception of sport politics are included the
following directions:
49
Children and youngsters sport. High performance sport. Sport for all. Sport
for people with special needs.
In these working directions are mentioned children, youngsters, sports for
everyone, but is not mentioned joint activity in a family for children together
with parents.
State family policy in its turn emphasizes the promotion of mutual
cooperation of family and state policy and parent education, but in the action
plan “STATE FAMILY POLICY” for implementation in years 2004-2013 this
aspect is not considered.
In Chapter 2 „Research tasks, methods and organization” are justified
research methods, with the help of which are carried out the tasks, set forth in
the work.
Theoretical research methods: the investigation of scientific literature:
holistic theories of education, personality theories, interconnections between
theories of sport pedagogy and psychology, the application of education theory
for implementation of sport in family. Are analyzed 269 literature sources, from
them 103 in Latvian, 141 in English and 25 in Russian.
Empirical research methods:
Obtaining background data about factors, influencing family sport in the
opinion of parents, students and pre-school pedagogues.
- 211 families from the regions of Latvia (Latgale, Kurzeme, Zemgale) and
its capital Riga (2007);
- 189 pre-school pedagogues from the regions of Latvia (Latgale, Kurzeme,
Zemgale) and its capital Riga (2007);
- 321 full and part-time students from Latvian Academy of Sport Education
(study year 2006/2007).
Pedagogic experiment:
- Children motoric and pedagogically-psychological processes were
investigated in Riga pre-school education establishment for 3-4 year old
children and their parents (30 families);
- Study process in Year 2 at Latvian Academy of Sport Education was
investigated, involving 275 full and part-time students from Latvian Academy
of Sport Education (study years 2007/2008 and 2008/2009).
Partly structured interviews with parents for the evaluation of the
implementation of the model of family sport (10 parents).
Self-evaluation. Student self-evaluation about the implementation of the
Programs of study courses “Pre-school sport didactics”.
Observation. Video analysis for the evaluation of children psychologically
pedagogical process and motoric activities.
Mathematically statistical methods for data processing: the determination
of indexes, correlative interconnections and regressions.
The results of the questionnaires were processed, using the Method of
Indexes, characterizing with them the increase of separate indices and
50
comparing them.
For the obtained data of the observation of children pedagogically-psychological processes was carried out linear regression with Ordinary Least
Squares method and were calculated Spearman correlations to show the strength
of interconnections between basic skills and pedagogically psychological
processes, characterizing the indices of child development in particular moment.
For data processing were used SPSS, Version 18, Excel and software of
econometric STATA 9.0.

In Chapter 3 "The results of the implementation of family sport model in
pre-school education" is reflected empirical course of the research and the
results obtained about the realization of family sport in pre-school.
In 3.1. subchapter "Family sport in parent, pre-school pedagogue and
student opinion” is analyzed parent, pre-school pedagogue and student opinion
about family sport.
Summarizing data about parent, pre-school pedagogue and student
opinions about the role of physical activities, carried out by parents together
with children, in the development of children personality, about the causes of
not organizing or rarely organizing family sport festivals, not forming traditions
in family sport, lack of succession, were obtained the following results (Table

Main reasons in parent, pre-school pedagogue and student opinion are:
- there are no family sport festival organizers. Students additionally
mention reasons, that there is no place, where to obtain experience in the
organization of festivals, and there are practically no opportunities to do it;
- parents, pre-school pedagogues and students lack knowledge and skills;
- they lack experience in the organization of events;
- there is lack of information and knowledge about the importance of
physical activities, and concrete examples, what physical activities should be
organized for pre-school age children.
53
Essential reason, mentioned by all groups of respondents, is the lack of
mutual cooperation between parents, pre-school pedagogues and sport event
organizers (future sport pedagogues - students).
The obtained data reveal that parents, pre-school pedagogues and students
have positive attitude and understanding about family sport as means in child
development, but family sport is not always realized.
In 3.2.subchapter "The content and justification of the model of the
realization of family sport model" is worked out and justified the content of the
model of the realization of family sport and its functioning. The most essential
issues are:
- young sport pedagogue and parent educating about the peculiarities of
child age group, the importance of sport and its influence on child development.
For parents these issues are raised with definite examples (based on different
theories) and are offered definite solutions. For sport pedagogues, in their turn,
are worked out didactical materials for work with pre-school age children, based
on different theories, and additionally also different approaches in work with
children parents;
- in pre-school children are not given home tasks, but they may be
expressed as carrying out common tasks (for example, make from nature
materials a composition "Autumn: rich man"). Such carrying out of common
task is used in the model of the realization of family sport in pre-school
education, in which children together with parents have to perform different
physical exercises;
- to form family sport traditions, were organized family sport festivals,
which LSPA students organized and conducted in Riga pre-school education
establishments for children and their parents.
Visualizing children, parent and sport pedagogue mutual interaction
process in the realization of family sport model in pre-school education, which
is based on holistic approach in child upbringing, at the centre of which is child
(Figure 2). Parents and sport pedagogues, forming social and practical
environment and offering child-centered physical activities - physical exercises,
movement games and steeplechases - promote the development of children
multi-faceted abilities and five senses.
Mutually cooperating - parents and children, parents and sport pedagogues,
sport pedagogues and children - forms positive interaction, promoting the
formation of harmonious personality in long term.
54
Figure 2. The model of the realization of family sport in pre-school
education, taking as the foundation holistic approach in child upbringing
Structural elements of the model of the realization of family sport in pre-
school education are:
- child with multiple intelligences, his or her necessities and interests;
- parents, who participate in the realization of family sport;
- pedagogues (future sport pedagogues - students), who educate parents and
children for the realization of family sport in pre-school education;
- environment, in which takes place children, parent and pedagogue mutual
interaction;
- the content of physical activities, forming content part of family sport,
making possible united functioning of children, parents and sport pedagogues in
concrete environment.
Child. In the model of the realization of family sport is promoted the
development of child abilities, based on Gardner (1985, 2006) multiple
intelligences theory and the development of senses according to Montesori
(2004) theoretical foundations for the development of five senses. Both for the
development of skills and senses are offered the variety of physical activities.
Parents should understand children needs, and this understanding should
be mutual. Children already in infant age feel parent joy, love, as well as
arguments and nervousness, what further is inherited by children (Ibuka, 1992).
Parent task during the performance of games and exercises is to show positive
55
example and less praise, more encourage child and foster her or his belief in his
or her strength, because praise is directed towards external control. At the basis
of one's own values is the experience of others. Encouragement is directed
towards the skills of the person to solve life situations successfully, self-
development happens through the recognition of one's own and other people
achievements. Encouragement promotes the sense of belonging, which increases
social interest (Dreikurs, 1964).
In the model of the realization of family sport parents have the following
functions:
- active participation in physical activities together with children;
- child encouragement to be active;
- the organization of physical activities in family.
Sport pedagogue. In the activity of sport pedagogues should be used
theoretical foundations, set forth in the model of wholesome approach to
upbringing (Lieģeniece, 1999), because the way of acting, in which the child
accordingly with the regulations of the action theory introduce their motivation
of aim setting, plan of the activity, control and self-control, reach the result. In
the content of child centred physical activities were included these ideas,
teaching young specialists to work with child.
In the model of the realization of family sport pedagogues have the
following functions:
- parent and children educating about physical activities;
- the organization of family sport festivals.
The formation of the content of physical activities is based on Piaget (1970,
2001, 2002) cognitive theory about child intellectual development, Vygotsky
(1991, 1997) child "proximate development zone", Montessori (2004) theory
about child sensitive periods of child development, Gardner (1985, 2006)
multiple intelligences theory, Liegeniece (1999) wholesome approach in child
upbringing, and Jansone (2005) "I" positive emotions forming model in physical
activities, worked out in sport pedagogy.
Games and exercises with different plots were worked out, designing a set
of physical activities for parents together with children, and taking into account
the peculiarities of child age groups. The offered plots mostly are connected
with fairy-tales, imitating animal sounds and movements, involving nature
phenomena, showing movements used in social and everyday life. In such a way
child learns symbols and "pre-concepts", promoting intuitive thinking, when
everything seen, felt and heard by child gives a foundation to what child
believes in and how he or she structures his or her thoughts (Piaget, 1970).
Environment. To realize physical activities, the environment can be used in
two ways. First is the use of settled environment - gym, stadium, transforming it
for the needs of concrete class. It is possible to use natural environment as
additional facilities for physical activities, using the landscape. Both for the
children and adults physical activities outdoors help to renew working abilities
56
and relax (Grants, 2007). With the help of environment it is possible to influence
child wholesome development (Cosco, 2005).
In holistic approach were taken into consideration mutual relations
between child pedagogically psychological development processes and motoric
activities, creating theoretically justified content of physical activities in family
sport, supplementing it with knowledge, skill and communication components
for parents and future sport pedagogues - students, promoting long-term
development of child personality in the process of the realization of the model.
As a united system is explained child upbringing, joined education and
cooperation among people, participating in child upbringing: parents and sport
pedagogues (Figure 3).
Figure 3. The realization of family sport in pre-school education
The model of the realization of family sport in pre-school education, taking
as the foundation holistic approach in child upbringing, is based on:
- parent knowledge, skills and attitude in work with children;
- on the set of home exercises in physical activities, which are realized
together with children;
- on parent and sport pedagogue theoretical and practical educating;
- on in-depth cooperation between sport pedagogues and parents, which
essentially changes the direction of child development.

In 3.3. subchapter "Practical results of the realization of the content of
family sport model" are analyzed the results of the realization of the content of
family sport model in pre-school education:
- the indicators of child pedagogically-psychological processes and motoric
activity;
- parent upbringing experience;
- student upbringing experience.
3.3.1.paragraph "The indicators of child cognitive processes and motoric
activities"
For the evaluation of the results were chosen four basic skills: crawling,
rolling, jumping and cognition process. Important methodological principle in
pedagogically-psychological (cognition process) research is the change of verbal
and non-verbal tasks. Children do not get tired so often. These processes are
formed as game, and are chosen tasks, promoting interest and willingness to act.
To evaluate child pedagogically-psychological processes in interconnection with
basic skill exercises were worked out four exercises, taking as the foundation
methodological recommendations, elaborated by Zabramnaja (S.D.Zabramnaja)
and Borovik (O.V.Borovik). Pedagogically-psychological tasks are connected
with child thinking, imagination, attention and willpower - emotional sphere.
For the evaluation of pedagogically-psychological processes were formulated
criteria, taking as the foundation Vygotsky conception about proximal zone of
development and the zone of actual development. The obtained results testify
that a child passes from proximal zone of development to actual zone of
development (Figure 4).
Figure 4. Child results in pedagogically-psychological tasks
For the evaluation of motoric activities were chosen basic skills and are
formed parameters and criteria.
All basic skills are evaluated with two parameters, describing the quality of
movement, and two quantitative movement evaluation parameters (the number
of movements and the time of performance in seconds) (Table 3).

59
Was carried out also Spearman mutual correlation analysis between
psychological and motoric activities, with the help of which is determined the
strength of interconnection between motoric skill parameters in exercises. The
largest number of mutual correlations is observed in jumping and crawling, as
well as one correlation is observed in running and rolling, and between the
parameters of basic skills in jumping, running, crawling and rolling.
These correlations indicate the significance of the use of diverse
exercises in motoric activities. To show mutual correlations between these
parameters, was used regression analysis. For independent variable was chosen
psychological factor, for dependent variable: the indicators of the task
performance and participant anthropometric indicators. Altogether were carried
out 5 regressions: one for each task of cognition processes and one summative.
Summative regression was carried out, choosing as independent variable the
sum of all psychological factors, and as dependent variables: the indicators of
the task performance and participant anthropometric indicators. Are observed
minimal correlations, which however indicate existing tendency.
In 3.3.2. paragraph „Parent upbringing experience after the realization of
family sport in pre-school education", having analyzed parent interviews and
their opinions about family sport and its realization in pre-school, and having
evaluated all the answers, can be concluded that:
parents are more educated about family sport;
in family more time is devoted to different physical activities;
parents have started to understand the significance of physical activities in
long-term development of child personality;
have improved relations in family.
In 3.3.2. paragraph "Upbringing experience for future sport pedagogues after
the realization of the program of the study course "Pre-school sport didactic" is
reflected the analysis of student self-assessment and the obtained evaluations in
the study course "Pre-school sport didactic". The obtained data allow concluding
that the improvement of the content of the program with the offered innovations
has promoted the improvement of student skills and competences, but
knowledge has remained on the previous level.
Conclusions
1. In the course of the research, taking as the foundation holistic theory in
child upbringing, was formed the model of the realization of family sport model
in pre-school education.
Theoretical basis of the model is formed by holistic approach to the
development of child personality, parents and sport pedagogues are carrying out
60
educating process, and family sport has as educating and upbringing component
of the cultural environment.
Evaluating and analyzing holistic approach in education in process and
result aspect, and in interconnections with family and physical activities, can be
concluded:
- family is the main institution, which promotes child development and
the formation of harmonious personality;
- parent involvement in child education process positively influences
child academic achievements, gaining success in different spheres, including
sport.
- is the foundation for better inclusion in society and gaining success in
personal life in long term;
- in pre-school sport is process, promoting child development, fostering
harmonious development and socialization.
The model of the realization of family sport in pre-school education, taking
as the foundation holistic approach in child upbringing, is possible, if:
- child is viewed as personality with his or her interests and needs;
- will be included: children, parents and sport pedagogues;
- parents and sport pedagogues in mutual cooperation will form child
development promoting environment and content;
- forming parent education experience, educating them about the
necessity and regularity of physical activities for promoting child development,
will be organized parent seminars;
- offering parents to participate in physical activities, performing home
tasks together with children;
- forming informal environment for the promotion of pedagogue, parent
and children cooperation: family sport festivities.
2. Accordingly with the obtained results about the realization of parent,
pre-school pedagogue and student family sport can be concluded that parents,
pre-school pedagogues and student attitude is positive, in their activity is
expressed understanding that family sport can be used as means in child
development.
High index, characterizing attitude to physical activities have:
- 84.% students;
- 22.3% pre-school pedagogues;
- 64.5% parents.
High index, characterizing understanding of the importance of physical
activities in child development have:
- 87.9% students;
- 64% pre-school pedagogues;
- 89.6% parents.
61
Medium index, characterizing the activity of involving one's family in
physical activities have:
- 74.5% students;
- 75.6% pre-school pedagogues;
- 78.7% parents.
It is important to find solutions for causes, mentioned by parents, pre-
school pedagogues and students, which impede the formation of the traditions of
family sport and beneficial influencing of child development. Parent, pre-school
pedagogue and student opinions about impeding causes are as follows:
There are no family sport festival organizers, this is indicated by:
- 81% students;
- 94.2% pre-school pedagogues;
- 73% parents.
There is insufficient knowledge about the importance of physical activities
for the promotion of child development, this is indicated by:
- 77% students;
- 50.8% pre-school pedagogues;
- 88.6% parents.
There is insufficient cooperation between parents and pedagogues, this is
indicated by:
- 96.8% students;
- 46% pre-school pedagogues;
- 94.8% parents.
3. For the solution of the problem, revealed in the survey, was worked out
the model of the realization of family sport model in pre-school education, based
on holistic approach in child upbringing, educating parents and future sport
pedagogues-students about the importance of physical activities in child
academic achievements and in the formation of cooperation and social skills.
Were worked out practical exercises for the improvement of basic skills
and for the promotion of pedagogically-psychological process. Were organized
family sport festivities, giving possibility for parents to participate in them
together with children, but for future sport pedagogues-students: obtain practical
experience in the organization of physical activities and family sport festivities,
improving their upbringing experience.
In the worked out model for the realization of family sport in pre-school
education, taking as the foundation holistic approach in child upbringing, are
included the following structural elements:
- child with multiple intelligences, their needs and interests;
- parents, who participate in the realization of family sport;
- pedagogues (future sport pedagogues - students), who educate parents
and children in the realization of family sport in pre-school education;
- environment (physical and social), in which take place children, parent
62
and pedagogue mutual interaction and socialization;
- the content of physical activities, forming content part of family sport,
making possible united functioning of children, parents and sport
pedagogues in concrete environment.
The model of the realization of family sport in pre-school education, worked out
in the research, taking as the foundation holistic approach in child upbringing, is
based on:
- parent knowledge, skills and attitude in work with children;
- on the set of home exercises in physical activities, which are realized together
with children;
- on parent and sport pedagogue theoretical and practical educating;
- on in-depth cooperation between sport pedagogues and parents, in the result
of which essentially changes the direction of child development.
4. Realizing the model for the realization of family sport in pre-school,
taking as the foundation holistic approach in child upbringing, was found:
4.1. Evaluating child basic skills - crawling, jumping, running and ball
rolling, in correlation matrix are found several statistically significant medium
strong positive and negative mutual interconnections between parameters of
basic skills.
Most frequently correlations are between parameters of crawling and
jumping. Three medium strong positive mutual correlations has crawling
parameter "Arm and leg activity coordination". Correlation coefficients r=0.478
(p<0.05) the direction of ball rolling, r=0.455 (p<0.05) preparation for jump, and
r=0.504 (p<0.05) the direction of the flight in jump provide information that it is
essential to promote crawling movement skill, afterwards will improve also
jumping and crawling skills. This is confirmed also with medium strong
correlation between arm and leg coordinated action in crawling with the time of
performing jumping task r=-0.524 (p<0.05).
Although as to their structure jumping and ball rolling are different, in
correlation matrix can be found medium strong positive correlations with
correlation coefficient r=0.417 (p<0.05) between the direction of ball rolling and
the direction of the flight of the jump. Similar situation is with crawling and
jumping parameters, which are connected with the number of crawling
movements (r=0.450, p<0.05), their pace (r=0.441, p<0.05) and the time of task
performance (r=0.406, p<0.05) in relation to the time of performing jumping
task.
The results of regression analysis reveal regulations, indicating that mutual
correlations between basic parameters of basic skills in crawling, jumping and
ball rolling are mutually connected with cognition processes, and, improving
one basic skill, it is possible to promote the improvement of other basic skills, as
well as influence the process of cognition.
63
4.2. Main conclusions, based on parent interviews about the realization of
the model of family sport in pre-school education, are:
- parents are more educated about family sport;
- families are more actively pursuing different physical activities;
- parents have started to understand the significance of physical activities in
long-term development of child personality;
4.3. Having analyzed student self-assessment and the obtained assessment
in study course "Pre-school sport didactics" can be concluded that Program
supplement with offered innovations has promoted the improvement of student
skills and attitudes:
- the number of skill codes has increased per 14 units.
- the number of attitude codes has increased per 31 units.
In its turn the number of knowledge codes has decreased per 2 units. This
indicates that knowledge has remained on the previous level.
Working out and realizing the model of family sport model in pre-school,
based on holistic approach in child upbringing, has promoted:
- student upbringing experience;
- the importance of theoretical base in the organization of physical activities
and family sporting habits;
- practical empirical experience in the realization of family sport.
