MSc. (Digital Society)• 1st of its kind, interdisciplinary Masters Programme for Digital

Society in India.

• This is specifically designed for a heterogeneous student group to learn about and address various challenges of the digital society, including:

- Developing, deploying and managing large-scale digital systems;- Designing interfaces for diverse populations;- Socio-historical aspects of the “digital”;- Policy issues in the contemporary digital society;- Quantitative and qualitative research methods, tools, and techniques, to examine user

needs and outcomes, and to evaluate the impact of ICTs;- Technologies such as cloud or mobile platforms, data analytics, social media, human-

computer interaction, and spatial-information systems; and - Domain-specific understanding of the technological-society interface, including issues

pertaining to education, governance, gender, identity, poverty and public health.

I-MACX (Internet of Things to Mobility Apps for Community Excellence) has been recently launched with the aim of catalyzing startups focused on software solutions that are of relevance to the community - be it social or civic organizations. Being primarily a product accelerator, during the 100 days, the program focuses on:

Social Impact• Udaan 2013

– Skill Development Programme for the residents of J & K. A Post Graduate Diploma in Software Development was conducted for Engineering Graduates from Jammu and Kashmir. This programme was sponsored by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India. 13 courses were taught to 25 students over a period of 9 months from March 2013 to December 2013. The programme was carried with the financial support of National Skill Development Corporation, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India, and Infosys limited, India.

– 30 Students from Myanmar trained in Post Graduate Diploma in Software Development (PGDSD) as part of the bilateral co-operation between the Government of India and Government of Myanmar.
