their interests.

Students revealed a remarkable interest about
sciences and culture.
The equipment and improvement of building infrastructure,
Teachers training and engagement with new pedagogical data, innovation and research,
Upgrading teaching skills, developing students abilities ensuring thus a balance into the labor market and society,
Evaluation.
Major Steps…
Urban School activities…In-service training for teachersCollaboration protocols: Hellenic Open University (HOU), University of Patras, ATEI Patras.
Equipmenttwo computer labs Robotics, all classrooms with computers and video projector, optical fiber, high speed Internet in every classroom or lab
Development of “school on cloud”
Educational material utilizing interdisciplinary approachSeven clusters (groups) of excellenceScientific Competitions
Rural School activities…Contests

Environmental Event
Innovative Approaches(synchronous) video conferences
virtual visits to CERN
ICT on daily teaching practice. Digital lessons experiments combined with electronic means e.g. we used augmented reality applications and Kinect camera

Conclusions…Changes in operation and administration, concluded in wide cooperation and participation.Developing culture of innovation influences the local society which accordingly is changing, changing us also backwards.
Implementation of an action plan can act beneficially towards a thinking school, through repeating evaluation loops
An essential evaluation can only be performed after a long period (4-5 years) of actions and activitiesImportance of lifelong training for teachers and educatorsOrganizing extroversion events by entrusting critical responsibilities to students was also one of our positive remarks
Finally, evaluation in each step helped us to achieve goals and set new milestones.
We observed that extroversion events joined teachers, students and local community together. Science and culture came closer to students and local society.
All these events include the element of collaboration and cooperation between several partners and promote our basic goal of knowledge diffusion.
Another remarkable conclusion is the importance of educational scenarios, material and content and the diffusion of these educational tools.Additionally, participation in contests is another crucial parameter
