Did You Know ?

• Youth are defined by the UNITED NATIONS as between the ages of 15 and 24.

• Approximately one billion youth live in the world today.

• One person in five is between the age of 15 and 24 years

• 18% of the world’s population are "youth“.

• The United Nations proclaimed an International Year of Youth starting on

12 August 2010.

• The theme ‘Dialogue and Mutual Understanding,’
