Cicchetti (chi-ket-tee) in Italian means ‘small plates’. They are little dishes of snacks or side dishes that originally served at ‘bacari’ (local bars) all around Venice, Italy. San Carlo Restaurants Group - a successful Italian restau-rant operator in the UK was inspired by that Venetian dining concept and developed it to be restaurant chains named San Carlo Cicchetti. Cicchetti Bangkok is the first international franchisee outside of the UK. Located at Groove@CentralWorld - a new trendy hotspot gathering many world-famous restaurants, bistros and patisseries, Cicchetti Bangkok aims to carry on the success of the original brand and bring it to higher level.
CicchettiOnce inside the restaurant, diners will be impressed by the high ceiling with large pendants, Italian marble and vibrant colourful scheme. While sit and dine, guests can observe the chefs movement and listen to the sound of cooking from the ‘open kitchen’ - this interesting experience has become a unique feature of Cicchetti Bangkok. The display of food ingredients, cooking materials and equipments all around the restaurant reminds diners of the original Venetian dining atmosphere. Subtle details in furniture and lighting design add another layer of luxury to the whole space. The outdoor dining area offers guests a lively and dynamic experience of Bangkok metropolitan’s life.

Inspired by Bali’s culture and natural setting, the lobby is serene and relaxed, yet filled with passion and texture. A light-filled and airy lobby welcomes guests. A Bali courtyard encompassed tactile-textured spaces. The lobby functions as a spacious living room, connected to a courtyard and a veranda lounge area. The puppet sillouhettes surround the bar area, and act as a backdrop for the guest experience.
Inspired by Bali’s market, the All day dining is fresh and vibrant with lots of color and texture. Guest meander through the live cooking stations. Woven Basket, colorful umbrella, bold printed fabric are all combined to create the life of the market.

Muteki is a Japanese Restaurant located in The Common - a dynamic, open-spaced shopping mall in Thonglor. Traditional Japanese village with houses' roofs in different types, shapes and forms is the inspiration for the interior space. The wooden roof structure creatively and modernly adapted to form bold patterns, create a focal point that attract people from the out-side. Once stepped inside the restaurant, a glass structure in house-shape suggests the idea of space within space, defined the dining tables, bring a cozy atmosphere to the diner.

A Rocker is mostly known as an energetic, freedom and artistic kind of person. These virtues are very similar to the nature of the rocks - monolithic, free form and striking. Koh Samui is one of Thailand's largest islands that is famous for its natural land-scapes and unique rock formations. One of the most famous tourist attraction in Samui is Hin Ta & Hin Yai (Grandfather & Grandmother Rocks). These amazing facts make rocks become the perfect concept and inspiration for Hard Rock Cafe located in central Samui. The natural, multiform of the rocks are care-fully reinterpreted and designed to shape the bar counter, the facades, the ceiling elements and lighting decorations. Vibrant colours and eclectic materials soften and enhance the space.

AvianceAviance is the hi-end cosmetic brand of Unilever Network. The space is located at Unilever Head office in Bangkok. The client's brief is simply to create the display that reflect the image of the brand which is "timeless elegance". We approach the concept of space with oval forms, and sequence of product display based on the client requirements. The inner glow of light blue color from the brand were used through out. Custom decorative chandeliers reflect the shape of Unilever Network logo. The multi-brand concept store also has the corners for the vitamin brand "Beyonde", the cleaning detergent "Unilever Home" and I-fresh, the toothpaste.

Charoen Krung is the oldest road in Bangkok. Built in 1861 during the reign of King Rama IV, it sites many old buildings, cultural institutes, antique shops, cafes, restaurants,... Travel along the road , passing Saranrom Park, On Luk Yon restau-rant, China Town, Odeon Gate, Portugese Embassy, Bangkok Folk Museum, Oriental Hotel, jewelry boutiques...not just for-eigners but Thai still feel the vibe and liveliness of the ancient road. It feels as if the history never sleeps. The Local is a bou-tique hotel located in the middle of Charoen Krung road, just a few walk away from the first Bangkok Postal Office building.
The LocalInspired by the living history of Charoen Krung, the concept for the hotel is to combine the local charm with modern eclec-tic loft style space, layering with contemporary abstract art that relates to the history and culture of the area. The hotel is envisaged not to be trendy but to reflect the lifestyle of Bang-kokian from the old days. Walking through different areas of the hotel, with different moods and tones, guests can have different interesting experience. It almost feels like they have been walking through Charoen Krung Road.

The idea is to sculpt the space by integrating basic architectur-al elements: floor, wall, ceiling with interior furnitures. Propor-tional compositions with contrast materials creates interesting voids and volumes, draws a dynamic connection string from one space to the others. The details in lighting design and subtle objects changes the mood, gives a lively touch to the sculpted architecture.

"Di tim cai toi da mat" (Finding My Lost Self) is a Political Essay written by a famous Vietnamese writer - Nguyen Khai during the last few years of his life. The author critisized and ex-pressed his concerns in a mocking tone about political issues in Vietnam. Readers would laugh at first but then the story lingers in their heads, make them contemplate about the dec-adance of Vietnamese modern society, the lost of human ethics and dignity after the wars.
