DESCRIPTION
The Mae Sa Orchid Farm is about 20 minutes outside of Chiang Mai. If you're headed to the nearby Elephant Camp a short stop at the Mae Sa Orchid Farm is well worth it. If you love orchids, there are many varieties in this large complex. There are thousands of wild orchids, as well as various hybrids on full flowering display here. Additionally, the farm acts as a sanctuary for live butterflies that fly freely throughout the complex. Butterflies dying of natural causes are framed and available for sale as well as all manner of jewellery incorporating the most vibrant coloured orchids, all at a surprisingly reasonable price.
