occasion of the 1929 International Exhibition, held at the foot of Montjuïc.

The MNAC contains works of art from the 10th to the 20th century.

The different collections at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) offer a complete exhibition

encompassing all art disciplines (sculpture, painting, drawing, engraving, posters, as well as photography and

coin collections). It aims to give a vision of art in Catalonia throughout history, from the Romanesque period to

modern times and the avant-garde. The collection features works by artists such as El Greco, Zurbarán,

Velázquez, Fortuny, Gaudí, Casas, Torres-García, Julio González, Dalí and Picasso.

of Barcelona. Originally built in 1927 for the

1929 International Exposition in the city

and Barcelona conducted for the 1936

Summer Olympics. it was renovated in

1989 to be the main stadium for the 1992

Summer Olympics.
