SANT FELIU DE CODINES

INTRODUCTIONSant Feliu de Codines is a town 40 Km. away from

Barcelona.

It has got 6.000 inhabitants.

It’s not a coastal town, it’s between the Catalan Range and a valley. Its hight is about 485 metres.

It’s in the northeast of Spain.

DESCRIPTION THE CENTER OF THE TOWN IS BIG. WE’VE GOT SAND IN THE SQUARE. THERE ARE TREES ARROUND THE

SQUARE, BENCHES TO SIT AND LIGHTS. THE TOWN HALL IS HERE.

WHAT CAN YOU DO THERE?

YOU CAN PLAY FOOTBALL ON THE SAND YOU CAN PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS YOU CAN HAVE A DRINK AND TALK IN

THE CAFÉS THAT ARE ARROUND THE SQUARE.

THE CHURCH NEIGHBOURHOOD

-The church Neighbourhood is the oldest neighbourhood in Sant Feliu. In the centre there is a church.

-In the church neighbourhood you can find a church, a bridge and a fountain. In the square there are some trees and benches.

THE CLOCK TOWERThe clock tower is the

oldest tower in Sant Feliu. It is not very big, either it is

not very small, is medium sized.In front of the tower ,

there is a small square,it is full of seats and flowers.

The schoolsIn Sant Feliu there are four schools.These schools are:“Jaume Balmes” it is a primary school, “ FedacSantFeliu” (our school) it is a primary and Secondary school, “El Follet” school is a kindergarden school and Carrasco i Formiguera Institute is a Secondary school.

Jaume Balmes is a public school; in JaumeBalmes you can find a park. It is a big school.FedacSantFeliu is a semi-private school. In FedacSantFeliu you can find the Albers Park.The kindergarden Follet is a public school you can find a playground, it is a nice kindergarden.Carrasco i Formiguera is a public Institute, you can find a sport centre too. It is a big Institute.

 The Civic center is a big place, where there is a park, a restaurant and a theatre,there are also multi activity rooms, bathrooms, a skate park, a football court….In the theatre we can see performances. We sometimes Use it.We play theatre or wedance in it.

The Albers parkThe Albers park is a big square and there are three bins, some swings, there is a small shop to play, there are seven benches and there are six lights.It is in front ofour school andwe sometimes play there.

Sport Center

The sport center has :

3 tennis courts , 1 paddle court,1 football court,1 BMX path,1 basketball court,2 hockeycourts 2 skatings and 1 football court.Some of them are outdoors and others indoors.

THE CLOCK MUSEUM (CASAL)

“The casal” is a place where you watch the theatre and you can find a clock museum too. In the clock museum you can find lots of clocks new or old ( some of them are amazing).There are different types of clocks: cu-cut, pocket, clocks, watches…….and more.

CAN XIFREDA

“Can Xifreda” is a small park where you can play with the swings and the slides, run or just to relax.In the centre you can find an old big chestnut tree.

It has got a fountain.IT’S BEAUTIFUL!

CREU DEL TERME“Creu del Terme” is a place where you find a cross. The history of the “Creu del Terme” is that in 1941 after the war, there weren’t many priests and when the first arrived to Sant Feliu he put the cross on a small mountain. In front of the cross, there is the town of Sant Feliu de Codines .

At night there is a beautiful landscape because it’s dark and you can see the cross with the lights of the town. There are a lot of paths and there are lots of plants with different colours. The cross it’s made of reinforced concrete. It’s 110 for 90.

THE PARK USARTIn the Parc Usart there is a place where you

can watch eagles.In the Parc Usart you can find and old tower There are trees, rabbits, squirrels, swings …You can have a picnic, lunch…thereThere is a fountain too.We sometimes go there, to celebrate any

Festival.
