• Won the inaugural American Cup in 1976• First gymnast to won 3 consecutive all-around

European titles • Graduated from the Physical Education and

Sports in Bucharest in 1984• In 1999 she was among the list of the 25

outstanding sports people of the 20th century

• Only person to get international Olympics Committee highest honour twice– The Olympic Order(1984 and 2004)
