CELEBRATINGPAKISTANDAY
Around 300 members of Pakistani community from Western Australia
gathered at Morley Sports and Recreation Centre to celebrate 70 years
of Pakistan Resolution also known as Lahore Resolution in the history of
Indo Pak subcontinent. Live Music, competitions for all ages and
traditional Pakistani cuisine and Easter eggs were the highlights of the
day which began with recitation of holy verses by Zahra Asif.
The Executive Committee wishes to thank all the patrons and
volunteers for making this program a huge success. Our sincere
thanks to Mr. Shakeel Khan, Mr. Shakoor Choudhry and Mr. Zahid Ali
for providing financial assistance. Thanks also to all the participants
who provided their feedback through email and phone messages.

While team B is still working this team has finished operation cleanup
after the event and ready to go home.

holds record for publishing five books within a year.
On 30th April we are organising a Taqreeb e Pazerai to acknowledge his contribution
towards URDU literature followed by a Mushaira. We are trying to invite poets from WA,
interstate as well as from Pakistan. This will be a free event but RSVP will be required. Final
details will be communicated through facebook and our next newsletter. If you want to

GRANT OF RIGHT TO OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS:The Ministry of OverseasPakistanis is seeking the interest of overseas Pakistanis for granting them the voting right.
Pakistani citizens residing in Australia and Fiji are requested to kindly indicate their interest
in this regard by filling out the questionnaire at http://pakistan.org.au/voting rights.pdf .
