Design & Layout

• We have a standard template available for when students first create their portfolios, but we highly recommend that students put their own unique touches onto the overall design and layout.

• We want to encourage you to try and experiment with new, creative ideas.

• Don’t be afraid to try new things!

26

Design & Layout

• Be consumers of information• Think about what you like and don’t like• Turn that around and think about what

readers like and don’t like• Use your knowledge of how to effectively

target a specific audience to gain and maintain a viewer’s interest in what information you’re presenting to them
