The team has recently
successfully completed the
construction of a Sandvik Discard
Spreader for backfilling at the
Exxaro Grootegeluk Medupi
Expansion Project. It is the
biggest spreader of it’s kind in
Africa, and has the capability to
spread discard at a rate of 6500
tph. The project was completed
safely and successfully by the
team of Supervisors and artisans.

The company also renders a service through plant hiring. Although the unit is
still new and growing, we have a small fleet of machinery and equipment

6.5. Team Building
Qeqesha Institute is an experienced Team Building facilitation company,
which strives to entrench individual and company values and to enhance
motivation levels of individuals and teams in order to establish a High
Performing Culture within the workplace. Our methodology to transfer
learning is better known as Adventure related Experiential Learning or AEL.
Facilitation takes place at a low-ropes facility of site which caters for a neutral
environment away from distractions which enhances the learning experience.
Teambuilding is seen as a constructive tool aimed at increasing safety and
production performance of individuals and teams in the workplace.
In order to create sustainable performance, managements buy in is
imperative through the support of these programs and active participation in
the programs rolled out. On Management and Supervisory level an additional
tool is presented called the Herman Brain Dominance Instrument or HBDI
Toolkit. This toolkit will enable managers and supervisors to effectively
manage their subordinates and teams through in-depth understanding of
how an individuals thinking style a preference is formulated. Our team
