Strontium and cesium carrter solutions were
added afterthe samplewasfiLtered.Thetraywas WaShed with520f disti”ed water and the washing WaS COmbined to the filtrate.
The samp葦e was passed through a cation exchangecoLumn(500mD OfDowex50WX8,50~ 100mesh,Na form)at a rate f10W Of80mD/min.
(2) Airborne dust
.Airborne dust was collected by an electrostatic PreCIPitator or a fiLter air sampler for every three- monthsatarateofmorethan3000m3permonth・
The sampLlng WaS doneltol.5meters above theg「0Und.
(3) Servicewaterandfreshwater Service water.1002 eaCh.was collected at the
intake of the water-treatment PJant and at the tap after water was left running for five minutes. Strontium and cesium carriers were added to the
filtered water sample.The subsequent process WaS the same as that describedin the section(1).
