• Stimulate Innovation

Business Innovation Programme

• £28 million European Funded Programme

• 6 years

• Technical & professional support at all stages of the innovation

process where there is a technical hurdle to overcome

• For businesses – mainly targeted at SMEs

• Pan-Wales

• Across all sectors

• Mentoring clients through in NPD/ NPI process

• Awareness and exploitation of IP – Linking with IP specialists

• Access Welsh Gov funding for the acquisition and implementation of

new technologies and processes

• Facilitate collaboration with other businesses, networks and academia

across Wales and UK.

• Work with clients to exploit wider UK and EU technology networks and

funding

Innovation Specialists

• Nominally max £25k per annum per company but can be more

• 50% funding for:

• external consultancy support (including IP but £5K max grant )

• collaboration with universities

• NPD (external design/ fabrication costs)
