Dear Colleagues
With rapidly aging population, increasing need for spinal care is an undeniable trend around the world. As a result, there has been an amazing advancement of surgical techniques and creative development of instruments for decades. Through these advancements, MISS (Minimal Invasive Spinal Surgery) has been the cornerstone of motivation. Therefore spine care practitioners have been
strongly requested for getting further knowledge and advanced techniques in MISS.In response to these demands, KOMISS has been devoted to introduction of new techniques and education for young surgeons in the field of MISS last 10 years in Korea. This year, we are so glad to announce that a very special International Symposium and Hands-on Cadaver Workshop will be held from 28th through 30th of November in Seoul, Korea. Scientific programs will cover most updated topics and state-of-the-art surgical techniques in the field of MISS. As we did, percutaneous endoscopic techniques will be the heart of programs. Accumulated surgical experiences and surgical tips around the world will be shared with all participants through symposium and cadaver workshop. Besides endoscopic techniques, current hot topics were selected for symposium. Experienced and excellent speakers will provide fresh knowledge to attendees and let you be well prepared for MISS. During the cadaver workshop, all attendees will be encouraged to do hand-on procedure under enough time. Experienced faculties will help participants perform correctly through one-to-one education. Through this workshop, we look forward to training attendees as well prepared, confident MISS surgeons. We welcome free papers and expect hot discussions between the presenters and the audience. We are not only preparing helpful scientific programs but also unforgettable friendship programs. Many spine specialty hospitals in Seoul promised to open their hospitals to attendees and are ready to answer your questions. Feel free to contact with us to appoint your visit to spine specialty hospitals in Seoul. By these communications and friendships, we wish that they would be a kindling to set up your hospitals when you got back. Please contact our organizing office for questions about accommodations, city tour, and etc. Seoul, the Soul of Asia, and all members of KOMISS are waiting for you. Come and join us.We look forward to seeing you in Seoul.Sincerely President of KOMISS Eun-Sig Doh, MD, PhD
