RRC WEAK REDIRECTION SWITCH

1 PREFACE:

RRC WEAK REDIRECTION switch was added in RAN 14.0 as an enhancement

which was enabled on 13th Jan 2014

2 RNC COMMANDS:

SET UCORRMPARA    PERFENH_RRC_WEAK_REDIR_SWITCH-1

SET UFRC                  WEAKCOVRRCREDIRECNOTHS=17

3 DESCRIPTION:

When this switch is turned on, UEs located in weak coverage are redirected to the

neighboring GSM cell through RRC redirection. When this switch is turned off, this

algorithm is disabled

4 MAIN OBSERVATIONS

RRC SUCC RATE improved

A significant improvement observed in PS RAB SUCC RATE

HHO Interfreq out succ rate improved as a result

PS drop rate improved aftre enabling the switch

Other KPIs are following their trend.
