helps the reader understand the choices that the characters make.

Think of the PLOT as the “meat and potatoes” of the story. This is what makes the story what it is.

The terms for the plot of the story vary, but the

idea is always the same

Set-up (exposition, entry, beginning)• Introduces all the characters,
