The lunar (Chinese) new year is celebrated throughout East Asia and in much of Southeast Asia. Many of these countries with significant Asian communities would sometimes recognize the importance of this holiday for their citizen by issuing new Lunar New Year stamps.2012 Lunar New Year happens to be the year of dragon, so the post office issued dragon symbol stamps.
