1.2 The mission

CCTEA's mission is to offer technology inventors, entrepreneurs and investors a platform between Canada and China, for communication, networking and business building, to shorten the entrepreneurship distance and to provide consultation which helping entrepreneurs make full use of resources in between the two countries.

1.3 CCTEA- Focus CCTEA focuses on bridging over technology innovations and commercialization, promoting immigrant entrepreneurship in Canada.

Based on members needs, CCTEA developed and offered workshops and activities to help members in business start-up and development, which served more than 1000 attendees. 2.1 Launch event of CCTEA

CCTEA started in May 2010 and announced the opening at Nov 28, 2010.

We organized a forum for entrepreneurs and investors for collaborating opportunities.

2.3.3 Meeting with Chinese VC: Professor Gu, Liji 顾立基教授(July 12, 2011)

• The former Chairman and CEO of CMTECH (the biggest VC in China)

• Professor of Tsinghua University teaching VC courses

• Chairman of the Supervisory of Ping An Insurance (the top three insurance company in China)

2.3.4 Hisense Recruitment Event (May28,30, 2011)

CCTEA helped Hisense group to recruit high-end technological employees.

2.4 Two Mentoring Programs

Developed 2 mentoring programs based on clients need analysis: analyzed clients need in financing, marketing, business opportunity and problem solving areas and identified the gaps in service. Recruited volunteers to implement the services.

2.4.1 Technology Entrepreneurship Mentoring Program

Mentors meet and help mentees one by one. There are 9 members getting mentoring services.

We are helping investment immigrants looking for and analyzing High-Tech business opportunities in Canada. We invited Canadian business owners to introduce their business and mentor new businesses.
