THE PURCHASE OF AES Paprec has purchased AES (Action Environnement Services), a company specializing in green waste. AES was created in 1999 at St Paul La Roche in Dordogne, specializing in the recycling of wood and green waste, as well as the collecting and recovery of sludge from water treatment facilities, which it upcycles into compost (in accordance with French regulations). AES also collects and processes forestry waste (wood), household and industrial waste, and manages engineered landfill sites. “These are particularly interesting areas of expertise for Paprec, especially the collecting of wood waste. AES also has a project for combined heat and power generation (CHP) using wood biomass. This new acquisition is going to broaden Paprec’s expertise with some cutting edge skills.” Has declared Jean-‐Luc Petithuguenin, founder and CEO of the Paprec Group. AES currently employs about 50 people, owns two factories in the Dordogne area, one to the north of Bordeaux, and one to the west of Angoulême, and manages an engineered landfill site. AES has a €8M turnover. Jean-‐Luc Petithuguenin will preside AES, while its current president (and founder) Guy de Ravignan will join Paprec. Olivier Seignarbieux stays as CEO of AES, and has declared to be “glad to join the n°1 recycling company.” Guy de Ravignan is “happy to have carried AES for over 15 years, and to have now found a new family for it, encouraging its growth.” About Paprec : Paprec was founded and is headed by Jean-‐Luc Petithuguenin.
