THE  PURCHASE  OF  AES    Paprec  has  purchased  AES  (Action  Environnement  Services),  a  company  specializing  in  green  waste.    AES  was   created   in   1999   at   St   Paul   La   Roche   in  Dordogne,   specializing   in   the   recycling   of  wood   and   green   waste,   as   well   as   the   collecting   and   recovery   of   sludge   from   water  treatment  facilities,  which  it  upcycles  into  compost  (in  accordance  with  French  regulations).  AES  also  collects  and  processes  forestry  waste  (wood),  household  and  industrial  waste,  and  manages  engineered  landfill  sites.    “These  are  particularly  interesting  areas  of  expertise  for  Paprec,  especially  the  collecting  of  wood  waste.  AES  also  has  a  project   for   combined  heat  and  power  generation   (CHP)  using  wood   biomass.   This   new   acquisition   is   going   to   broaden   Paprec’s   expertise   with   some  cutting   edge   skills.”   Has   declared   Jean-­‐Luc   Petithuguenin,   founder   and   CEO   of   the   Paprec  Group.    AES  currently  employs  about  50  people,  owns  two  factories  in  the  Dordogne  area,  one  to  the  north  of  Bordeaux,  and  one  to  the  west  of  Angoulême,  and  manages  an  engineered  landfill  site.  AES  has  a  €8M  turnover.    Jean-­‐Luc   Petithuguenin  will   preside  AES,  while   its   current   president   (and   founder)  Guy   de  Ravignan  will   join  Paprec.  Olivier  Seignarbieux  stays  as  CEO  of  AES,  and  has  declared  to  be  “glad  to  join  the  n°1  recycling  company.”  Guy  de  Ravignan  is  “happy  to  have  carried  AES  for  over  15  years,  and  to  have  now  found  a  new  family  for  it,  encouraging  its  growth.”      About  Paprec  :  Paprec  was   founded   and   is   headed   by   Jean-­‐Luc   Petithuguenin.   Paprec   has   established   itself   as   the   recycling  specialist.  With  its  4  000  employees,  it  has  generate  a  €750M  turnover,  with  5  million  tonnes  of  waste  treated  and  recycled.  Since   its  creation   in  1994,  Paprec’s  turnover  has  multiplied  by  150,  with  a  29%  annual   increase,  and  it’s  number  of  factories  and  employees  has  been  multiplied  by  80.  As  France’s  first   independent  recycling  business,  Paprec  is  France’s  first   independent  recycling  business,  and  is  now  number  1  in  the  recycling  of  plastic,  paper,  and  batteries,  number  2  in  electrical  and  electronic  equipment  waste  (WEEE),  and  third  in  the  recycling  of  wood,  industrial  waste,  construction  waste,  and  selective  collection.  Paprec  also  deals  with  scrap,  metals,  and  toxic  waste.    Ever  since  its  creation,  Paprec  has  been  lauded  for  its  diversity  and  its  fight  against  all  types  of  discrimination  within  the  company.  In  2012,  Ernst  &  Young  and  L’Express  awarded  the  annual  Entrepreneurs  Prize  to  Jean-­‐Luc  Petithuguenin.    Press  Service  of  Paprec  Group  :    Mme  Bernadette  Leronce.  Tél.  :  06  08  99  86  69.  Bernadette.leronce@wanadoo.fr
