WHO main eventsWHO main events1. WHO Regional Director for Africa on official visit to Senegal, 26-28 February 2018

� The WHO Regional Director for Africa, Dr Matshidiso Moeti, will undertake an official

visit to Senegal from 26 to 28 February 2018, at the invitation of the Senegalese

Government.

� During her visit, Dr Moeti will hold discussions with Senegalese Government officials,

notably the President of the Republic.

2. Regional Partners call on Health Emergencies in the African Region No4

� The 4th monthly Regional Partners call on Health Emergencies in the African Region was

held by webex, chaired by Dr Balde, on Monday 19th February 2018 at 14.00 am.

� Topics covered included Lassa fever outbreak in Nigeria and other neighboring countries,

cholera outbreaks in the main affected countries and the upcoming trainings/workshops

organized by partners.

� Some partners from Dakar participated in the webex : Save The Children, IOM, OCHA, …
