Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts debuted its third Traders hotel in Malaysia with the opening
of the 283-room Traders Hotel, Puteri Harbour, Johor, Malaysia on 1 June 2013. The hotel’s
four-storey towers and landscaped walkways are fronted by Puteri Harbour and complete
the Little Red Cube that houses the Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park, alfresco restaurants
on the promenade of a marina and retail outlets.
Stay next door to the first Sanrio Hello Kitty Town outside of Japan and The Little Big Club –
home to such characters as Thomas and Friends, Barney and Bob the Builder. Just minutes
from the hotel is LEGOLAND ® Malaysia offering over 40 rides and attractions.
Traders Hotel, Puteri Harbour, Johor, Malaysia is easily accessible from Singapore’s Tuas
and Woodlands checkpoints and only 20 minutes from Senai International Airport and the
shopping haven, Johor Premium Outlets. Within walking distance from the hotel is Puteri
Harbour International Ferry Terminal that provides ferry connections to Harbour Front in

This well-travelled Austrian is as passionate about the hospitality industry as he was when he first entered the industry 35 years ago. Sigi Bierbaumer has been heading hotels and divisions in Austria, USA, Norway, China, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Thailand. He joined the group in 1992 with his first post as executive chef at Shangri-La’s Golden Sands Resort in Penang, Malaysia.

Frank Song, Executive Assistant Manager
Frank Song’s years of experience with Shangri-La hotels in China, specifically in Guilin, Wenzhou, Changzhou, Shanghai, Dalian and Wuhan, have earned him countless brownie points. The finance major enjoys crunching numbers when he gets down to profit and loss, budget, forecast and upselling. He heads the Front Office, Housekeeping and Health and Recreation teams at the hotel.
