1.0 INTRODUCTION
The proposed development is located at Persiaran Sepang,Cyber 10 (Block 11) , Cyberjaya,Mukim Dengkil,Daerah Sepang, Selangor Darul Ehsan with a total area of 19.61 acres. Setia Haruman Sdn.Bhd has appointed Jurutera Perunding Tekadmaju Sdn. Bhd. (JPT) as the civil and structural engineering consultant to carry out the planning and design of this development. The certification on the registration under SPAN is attached in Appendix A for reference.
This report is prepared to provide the detail design on the proposed water supply in order to obtain the water reticulation approval (detail design) for the proposed development.

2.0 SITE LOCATION AND TOPOGRAPHY
The proposed development is located next to existing Persiaran Sepang,Cyber 10 , Cyberjaya,Mukim Dengkil,whereby the existing road varies from RL 13.00 to R.L 14.00. The topography of the project site is generally flat where existing ground levels varies from GL 10.00 m to maximum GL 12.5 m. The existing topographic of the survey plan is attached under Appendix B. The basic external infrastructure facilities surrounding the proposed site i.e. roads and drainage, water supply and sewerage are already in place.
3.0 EXISTING WATER MAIN AND ALLOWABLE WATER DEMAND The existing water main and the tapping point “tee off” using 400 dia ductile Iron is already in place and constructed. The following information was
furnished and advised by SSP Perunding Sdn.Bhd. The tapping point has been approved by SYABAS. The letter is attached under Appendix D: Tapping Point Approval [Letter Ref. no.: SYA/NPD/DD/SPG/DGKL/BLOK11/15(10474)]

4.0 PROPOSED WATER SUPPLY DESIGN SYSTEM The proposed development wiil be carried out in two phases i.e. Phase 1 and Phase 2. The phase 1 comprises of 150 units of resident double story link houses and 1 unit of club house whilst phase 2 comprises of 2 blocks of Condominium with total 350 of residential units. The proposed development
Plan(KM) is attached under Appendix D for further reference. The proposed preliminary water supply system is summarized in the table below:

6.0 WATER SUPPLY DESIGN PLAN
The water supply for the whole Cyberjaya development is sourced from the Sg. Semenyih Treatment Plant located in Precint 19, Putrajaya. A 1600mm diameter dedicated trunk main had been laid to feed the existing reservoir namely R1 and the other reservoirs namely R2, R3 and R4 which are to be built in tandem with the Cyberjaya development as planned by Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd (SHSB). The overall design of the water supply scheme for Cyberjaya is undertaken by Sepakat Setia Perunding Sdn Bhd (SSP) which was appointed by SHSB. The tapping point approval is attached herewith in Appendix D. For this plot of the development (BLOK 11), the source of the water supply is expected from Reservoir R4 via a 500mm diameter transmission pipeline. Currently the 500mm diameter transmission pipe is already been constructed to serve the neighbouring development.

7.0 WATER RETICULATION NETWORK
The water reticulation network for this development was analyzed based on
peak flows and fire flow estimated for the entire development.
The analysis was carried out based on Hazen William's formula. Computation
was done using the spreadsheet showing the calculation of losses for proposed
water distribution pipeline from tapping point to proposed development.
The detail of output is shown in Appendix E.
The design of reticulation system is carried out in accordance to the SYABAS
guideline.
a) Design factors in pipe sizing
• Maximum Velocity
◊ 2.6 m/s (distribution pipes)
◊ 1.2 m/s (suction side of a pumped pipelines)
• Peak Flow Factor
◊ 2.5 of average daily demand flow
• Fire Flow Requirement
◊ Class A risk – 22.80 l/s ( Large Residential Area)
b) Hydrant Spacing
• 90 m
c) Minimum Residual Pressure
• 7.5 m above the supply level of suction tanks (with bottom
inlet) tapped direct from SYABAS pipe.
• 4.5 m above the supply level when elevated reservoir is
provided.
d) Valves and Appurtenances
• Service valves, air valves, scour pipes and valve chambers
will be appropriately designed and incorporated in the design
according to SYABAS Standard.

8.0 MINIMUM RESIDUAL PRESSURE
The minimum residual pressure for all the components has achieved 7.5m
above the highest supply level (HSL) which includes:
a) Linked Houses (Residual pressure : varies from 11.78m to 12.27m)
b) Clubhouse (Residual pressure : 9.83m)
c) Condominium (Residual pressure : 14.18m)
9.0 CONCLUSION
The water reticulations were designed to supply water to link houses,
clubhouse and condominiums.
The design were done based on ensuring an excess of residual pressure of
more than 7.5m.ODL
The fire flow was analyzed based on placing three hydrants that is furthest
from the tapping point (Class A). To ensure the most critical condition is
satisfied.
In conclusion, the reticulation pipe that was designed is adequate and satisfies
all conditions to supply water to the proposed development.
