TWO WEEKS IN-COUNTRY SUMMER COURSEON MONGOLIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURES

COST:

The cost of the course is divided into two parts: participation fee and the cost of teaching accommodationand meals.

PARTICIPATION FEE: USD 190.00

ACCOMMODATION, MEALS AND LOCAL TRANSPORT FEE: USD 960.00

TOTAL: USD 1150.00

The participation fee includes: all training costs, course literature, documents and transport withen the program. It also includes hotel and airport transfers. Cost for board and lodging are uncluded in theaccommodation fee. International travel costs and cost for personal expenses are NOT included.

ACCOMMODATION:

The participants will be accommodated at the International Student hostel in Ulaanbaatar andMongolian ger (yurt) in the countryside. Each participant will have a twin share tourist class hotelaccommodation, with a bathroom, in Ulaanbaatar area.

VISA:

When required, participants should obtain a visa for Mongolia. The visa should be valid for whole period of the summer school. Inquiries should be directed to the respective Mongolian Embassy assoon as possible. IMS is willing to help you with visa issues.

INSURANCE:

Health and travel insurance must be covered by their home country.

PROGRAM:

The IMS will offer intensive courses in Mongolian Language and Cross Culture courses on MongolianStudies. You will also have the opportunity to visit places of historical and cultural interest andsightseeing tours will be organized. If you are interested in participating, please return the Enrollmentform no later than May 15 th 2014

CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT:

All fees are payable in US Dollars and net of all bank charges. The amount credited to our bankaccount must be the amount due. You can send a deposit of payment of $190 or the whole payment.

DAY ITINERARY, IN BRIEF

Day 1 Arrive in Ulaanbaatar

Day 2 Language class-A visit to Mongolian National History Museum

Day 3 - Language class- Visiting Zaisan Tolgoi and the State Deparment Store in Ulaanbaatar

Day 4 - Language class- City sightseeing to Gandan Monastery, Megjid Jangraisig-the biggestBuddhist statue in Asia

Day 5 - Language class- Enjoy a Folk Performance with national songs, dances and contortion acts

Day 6 Visit to Terelj National Park and explore the Turtle Rock natural rock formation.

-Enjoy camp re. Will stay overnight in a ger.

Day 7 Breakfast Horseback riding to the river-Drive from Terelj tourist camp Ulaanbaatar(Dinner)

Day 8 - Language class- Visit to the Mongolian Folk Art Museum

Day 9 - Language class- Visit to the Mongolian Natural History Museum

Day 10 - Language class- Visit to the Mongolian National Gallery and Mongolian Heritage Centre

Day 11- Language class- Visit to the Winter Palace Museum of Bogd-the Last Mongolian king

Day 12 Drive to Manzushir Monastery (60 km far from UB)

Day 13- Drive to Tsonjin Boldog Chinggis Khaans statue and Mongolian herdsmen family. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar-Have a picnic lunch.
