Camera The shot goes from in focus to out of focus back into focus, providing variety in the types of shot, this is a simple way to make a shot look appealing.

This is a low angle shot, showing the action from different perspectives.

This wide birds eye view shot sets the scene with the title ‘bad blood’ introducing the music video to the audience.

Close ups grab the audiences attention and draws them into the music video.

Editing

Slow motion can be used to highlight a specific action and draw attention to it, for example slow motion is used to emphasise the flip that the character does.

Graphics are added of the fire to enhance the battle scene, as well as keeping the audience entertained and interested with what is going on on screen.

Text is added on screen to introduce the characters of the music video, this is a nice effect which creates a story like narrative and can make audience members feel more involved.

Mise en scene

Broken glass is used to emphasises the destruction that is happening in the music video and bring it to life.

The office like setting is the main setting for the music video which contrasts to the battle scene at the end.

Effects such as snow can also add attractiveness and cool features to the video.

Interesting items are used such as a see through car to reiterate the futuristic theme of the video

The contrasts between light and dark help to tell the story of the music video, making it a dance narrative although there has been many different interpretations of what the meaning behind it actually is.

Mise en sceneCostume used is very minimalist with a blonde wig and nude coloured leotard to reinforce the nature theme surrounding the video and the youth of the girl.

Facial expressions such as this unique eye raise created a signature expression which helped with the branding and star power of the music video, which helps to enhance promotion and market size.
