vii) During the Vigilance Awareness period, the Banners/Posters were displayed in North West Region (Ahmedabad), Terminals and Port offices. The posters & banners were also displayed on containers which moved by way of Coastal route.

viii) Banners & Posters were displayed in West Regional Office (WRO), Mumbai and other Terminals of WRO.

ix) Banners & Posters were displayed at Eastern Regional Office,

Kolkata as well as various Terminals of Eastern Region.

2 Conduct of Workshop / Sensitization programmes

i) A Workshop by Shri S.R. Wadhwa – IRS (Retd.), Chairman & Board Member, Transparency International India and former Chairman, Income Tax Settlement was organized at ICD, Tughlakabad, New Delhi on 31.10.2019.

ii) Workshop/sensitization programmes conducted at North Central Regional Office, Noida.

iii) A Discussion Programme for officers & staffs on “True Integrity is

Essential in the Field of Work” was conducted at North Central Regional Office, Noida on 31.10.2019.

iv) Panel Discussion with Service Providers/Vendors was organized on 02.11.2019 at ICD, Dadri wherein a detailed discussion was held on the VAW theme “Integrity – A Way of Life”.

v) School students were made aware on “Ethical Value and Sanskar” by officials at ICD, Kota.


vi) A Discussion Programme along with Customs, Custom House Agents, Handling & Transportation Contractors, Security Staff and other stakeholders was organized at ICD, Malanpur.

vii) A Workshop on the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week i.e. “Integrity – A Way of Life” was organized on 31.10.2019 at ICD, Sanathnagar involving all officials of South Central Regional Office (Secunderabad), Sanathnagar and Nagulapally. Shri N. Sita Rama Prasad – Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division delivered the Key Note address on the theme.

viii) Workshop was conducted at ICD/Bhusawal on 30.10.2019 with

CONCOR employees and as well as Railway employees (ROH Department of CR) about the importance of vigilance in day-to-day activity at working place.

ix) Discussion Session was held with the Contractor’s Representatives

at ICD/Aurangabad and all were informed about the importance of Preventive Vigilance & Record keeping activities.

x) Workshop was conducted on 29.10.2019 at ICD/Mandideep for

employees & stake holders on policies/procedure of CONCOR on Preventive Vigilance.

xi) Workshop held on briefing “Integrity – A Way of Life” headed by

CGM/CR and attended by employees of CRO & ICD/Nagpur. xii) Interactive Session was conducted with EXIM Trade members and

Terminal staff at ICD/Raipur. xiii) Customers & Contractors meeting on Vigilance Awareness was

organized at Southern Region.

xiv) Workshops have been organized on the theme “Integrity – A Way of Life) at North West Regional Office (Ahmedabad), Vadodara, Ankleshwar & Khodiyar.

xv) A Workshop was organized by Eastern Regional Office, Kolkata on 31.10.2019 on the Vigilance Awareness Week theme.

xvi) Group Discussion with employees was conducted to maintain honesty & integrity with work at Conference Hall of ICD/Nagpur.


3 Issue of Journal / Newsletter

i) The 2nd issue of “VIG–दपर्ण” covering activities of VAW-2019 is

proposed to be issued shortly.

ii) Details of VAW were covered by leading Newspapers at Nagpur. 4 Any other

activities i) The highlight of Vigilance Awareness Week-2019 was Flagging Off

the 04 numbers of “Satarkta Express Container Trains-2019” from DCT, Okhla, New Delhi to Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore etc. The trains carried pictorial stickers pasted on the containers with messages and slogans related to vigilance awareness for the general public while these containers move across the country through Rail and Road. The first “Satarkta Express Container Train” was flagged off by Shri Akash Taneja – Chief Vigilance Officer/CONCOR and Shri Kamal Jain – Executive Director/CONCOR on 30th October, 2019 from Domestic Container Terminal, Okhla, New Delhi for Tondiarpet, Chennai. Such containers with Stickers were also moved through Coastal Ships from Kandla Port to various Ports such as Mangalore, Tuticorin and Cochin in Southern Region.

ii) Inter-Department Audit was conducted at ICD, Dadri with specific focus on compliance of contractual obligations including fulfilment of Labour Laws.

iii) Tree Plantation Programme was conducted at ICD, Agra.

iv) 100 nos. fruit & non-fruit bearing tree saplings under Tree Plantation Programme in association with Coimbatore CHA Association was conducted at ICD, Irugur.

v) Essay competition for Staff & Officers and Trade meet with

Domestic Business Associates & Customers conducted at Southern Region.

vi) Framed Posters were displayed in Eastern Regional Office, Kolkata Building Entry & Exit Gate and Outside Lift Area.

“Integrity – A Way of Life” were displayed on Domestic Tank Containers at ICD, Dadri for enroute wider awareness among the people.

3. Banners were displayed at KDMA College, Kanpur. 4. Displaying of hoarding, banners & distribution of Handouts

inside & outside Nagpur Railway Station by employees of Central Regional Office & Terminal on 01.11.2019.

1. A Customer Grievance Redressal Session was organized on 30.10.2019 in Conference Hall at Administrative Building, Dadri to discuss issues pertaining to Customers, JV Partners and Contractors with specific focus on the theme of VAW.

Office, Mumbai.

5 Use of Social Media

1. The details of activities, alongwith photographs, undertaken by the Corporate office and Regional offices were uploaded in social media (Twitter & Facebook) regularly during the VAW with the hashtag #vigilanceweek2019. These were also tagged to CVC’s social media accounts.

2. Messages on the theme ‘Integrity – A Way of Life’ was given

wide publicity on the CONCOR/SCR Whatsapp Group during the period.

3. Details of daily activities along with photos were regularly

updated in Social Media in Facebook & Twitter. 4. Use of Social Media was undertaken by West Regional Office,

Mumbai.


5. More than 1 Lakh SMSs were sent to Employees, Customers,

Contractors & Vendors with whom CONCOR has dealt in recent past.

6. Use of Whatsapp & Facebook by Southern Region during the

week to spread the message of Vigilance Awareness Week.

6 Any Other Activity

1. The observance of Vigilance Awareness was widely publicized to ensure maximum publicity on the theme. Stakeholders and users in South Central Region were also encouraged to participate in the programme.

2. Vigilance Awareness activity performed at Mandideep Railway

Station and IOCL Petrol Pump by employees of Mandideep Terminal.

3. Stickers containing the theme “Integrity – A Way of Life” were

pasted on all the containers moved out of ICD, Pithampur so that all the containers along with stickers enroute can become a messenger tool for increasing the citizens’ awareness about the theme.
